Dallas has 980K in cap space with 20 players signed. If they dump Robertson, Dumba and Lyabuskin for picks and prospects they have 15.6M in cap space with 17 players signed. It’ll be much more difficult to move any other players on the roster because of NTC and NMCs.

Nice job laying out some facts. However, you are missing the important stuff. Turns out Marner does not like Taco Bell that much and he really prefers Texas BBQ.
 
Apparently, Vegas talking to Leafs about trading for the rights now - maybe there's someone the Leafs want that will solve the cap problem for Vegas? Hertl?

Hertl has a 3 team NTC. Since there’s very little chance Vegas would ever trade him to LA, ANA or SJ it’s likely those 3 teams are based in Canada. Could Toronto be one of the 3 teams?

Looking over Vegas roster there’s a lot of NMC and NTCs. Maybe Toronto wants Nic Hague? They’re pretty stacked on LD already. So I’m not sure that’s a fit. If I’m Toronto I’m demanding Dorofeyev.
