***Minnesota Wild vs. LA Kings GDT 11/8/22 7:30pm on ESPN+ & Hulu only***

Happy to eat crow tonight predicting a third period L. Weird game. Both teams got the puck into the zone but never held it long until the end when the Wild made a push. Great two points, and happy to see a good defensive effort.
 
Jekyll and Hyde from the last pond hockey game they played against them. I'll take the 2 points though.
 
Considering we didn't score on that major penalty, this would've been a terrible loss. Luckily Vilardi came through wit the huge goal so it's all good. Great job by Quick in getting the shutout. Fleury was great as well in the loss. And ha-ha Capri Sun. The best thing about this game was the love Vilardi was getting on a national broadcast. But I had to laugh at the post game interview he did wit Linda Cohn. Not for what he said though. But because it looked like he was standing on a box & she was standing in a pit.

For the first couple of periods that was a game that made me truly miss Bob behind the mic. After a 15 and a half our day working the polls, his ability to entertain during a tight checking game where there's not a whole lot going on truly was missed. I wish i could say my eyes were open for Gabes goal but I was glad to wake up to it.

I dont think Kaprisov will get anything supplemental because I think they made the right call in the game. There was a momentary intent to injure, thankfully he didnt. Get him out of the game to reflect on costing his team. Time served we all move on. Its different than Tkachuk in that his actions were in cold blood and meant to be hidden from the ref. Kaprisov basically threw a tantrum and got called on it.

That ensuing pp though... I mean if that effort shows up in game 6 in 2012 im not sure they win the cup. They have got to find the right amout of willingness to ride a wave even if that means there will be dips in the valleys from the crests.

Good win. Very good goal by Vilardi. Great pass by Kopitar on that goal. Excellent goaltending by Quick.

Good teams win tight games. This is another step in the right direction.
