End of 1st. Excellent period for LA. Arvy's return really sparked the Kings, with 3 unanswered goals and a fight in the process. There's still 40 more minutes of hockey left to play, though, and the Kings mustn't get too comfortable with their 3-goal lead.

Thought there would be more hitting by the Wild. That was pretty much a perfect period. 3 goals, one by Arvy, a great fight, a PP goal, and NO STUPID PENALTIES!!

That period was a textbook example of the Kings identity. Limit offensive chances, heavy board work, traffic in front of the net, greasy goals and create turnovers.

It’s such a simple gameplan but when they’re on it’s incredibly effective.

The Kings have to find a way to sign him next year. Arvy reminds of Williams in their ability to keep the puck, make plays out of nothing. Kind of a spark plug, but more than that.
