Goaltenders are pretty particular about their headgear so this may just be something to wear since he knew he wasn’t going to play, there may be a completely different helmet being prepared for him.

It's baffling.

Kaliyev or Vilardi are both much more capable and complete players at this point. When you have a 1st line winger (QB) who can't get a sniff of the power play something is wrong.
