"No retreat, No surrender" isn't just a movie, it's a life philosophy. Not mine though, since I am a more "Stay in Bed and Don't Even Bother" guy. mhihi: :manybeers:

Easily one of the funniest movies ever made.

Does the Money pit count for this? I always thought it did well, not blockbustery but I know it wasn't critically acclaimed since it was more slapstick.

Watched it the other night to cheer up with everything we have to do in the new house. The Turkeys done and bathroom tub still resonate with me for some reason.

when he is stuck in the floor...and that laugh when the bathtub drops...come on, that's some funny stuff.

Did you ever notice that when the tub hits the floor and breaks, there's no water splash?

This movie is better than it's ever been given credit for. It still holds up, and for me the lines never get old.
To this day, my husband and I will say....
1.) "I was seeing Care Bears." whenever something goes wrong physically, such as a cut finger or a bump on the head.
2.) "She's a nice piece of wool." when referring to an attractive woman.
3.) "Two weeks!" as the time frame for anything more than a couple of hours.
4.) "Honey, you're on my fingers." when one has to tell the other to stop for any reason when we're trying to fix something.

Can I get a ruling on Harold and Kumar?

I mean thats gotta be in this wheelhouse right? Then again I haven't watched it in a decade but it should totally still hold up right?

Who could forget

Ladies and Gentlemen....and LGK'ers

I submit to you a movie that I think every single one of you would go to a screening of "post haste" should it be announced:

Wolfgang Petersens Enemy Mine

Dennis Quaid

Louis Gosset Jr....Giving birth

Football on moonlike atmospheres.

Whats not to love?

Oh, you!

Haha. I bought this DVD at Circuit City.

Mainly because I wanted to buy Alien Nation and that's all they had. I had heard of Enemy Mine, but had never seen.

But since I paid my monies, I decided to might as well watch Enemy Mine, and yeah, it's something pretty unique, haha. I want an alien baby. :P

He/She would be raised to rule over the earth and I would win parent of the millennium. :P

would it be raised species neutral?

Nah! It would be raised to be pretty ethnic. ;)

Even though I am not religious these days because I was raised Jewish, my alien kid would have to suffer the same fate, haha. He/She would have to light the Shabbat candles and not eat bacon. Not letting one's kids eat bacon is evil, but I can be pretty evil, haha.

Now I am thinking that the whole Orphy adopts an alien baby could be made into, should I say it, a guilty pleasure movie. ;)

Oh, and yeah, Enemy Mine. This is a pretty good vid about it.

If nothing better is on and it's late, I will watch Pearl Harbor or Serendipity just to look at Kate Beckinsale.
