***Nashville Predators vs. LA Kings GDT 3/11/23 7:30pm on BSW***

Kings should be ashamed of themselves on how they played this game. They basically gave 2 points away. They didn't want to win this game. beat the Avs then play pathetic against a non playoff team. Bums.

Relax

Got a point, better than 0. The Kings were outplayed most of the game so take the point and get ready for the Isle

i honestly enjoyed teh game. Nashville played some great hockey. Not sure about the 1st, but that 3r dperiod was well played by both teams on some crappy ice.

That game was claustrophobic as hell. Fiala is dearly missed.

Whatever power play hopes we had are gone with him and Durzi out.

Thought Copley was great. Anyone know the quote on the back of his mask?

Wish a bit more skill shown in shootout. Same move failed 3 times. Oh well. Take the point.

Tough game tonight, lets quickly move on to the next one…

But can anyone explain this to me? I may have missed that he’s banged up, but why wasn’t Spence playing tonight? He played great again a really good Avalanche team, but still was scratched this next game?

This is something I’ve noticed several times with McLellan and how he manage the young players. They get a chance, play a really good game but then they are still benched the next game and I just don’t get that…

Sometimes you just lose. Relax.

I asked Carrlyn on Twitter and she shared this with me:

Here is a photo he let me take a while back. A quote from English poet John Milton, as pointed out by

The most jump off the screen thing I thought throughout this game is how good Josi is. That team willed themselves to the second point by denying us second chances all night.

To think he and Suter were suppose to be together for years and years to come. And then Suter bailed for Minny.. lol

Copley played well but I think this is the turning point to give Korpi the reigns no pun intended lol

How is any of that game on Copley? Maybe the only player who had a solid game start to finish. DD needs to start playing better - that was the glaring issue I was seeing. First line wasnt great, but they cant be world beaters every game. Second line was showing signs of life, but overall an inconsistent game for almost everyone not named Copley who stopped what - 95% of the shots on him?

Long list last night, please be sure i got you on it.
Sometimes you dont win the game. Copley did a lot to keeo the boys competitive. Nashville has always had a good match up against this club and they showed it again. Im not sure if that was playoff style, the ice definitely simplified the game though. Hope Fiala gets back soon, he may turn pucks over but we need to see him make space in a game like that.

"He who reigns within himself and rules passions, desires, and fears is more than a king."

Thanks. Yeah I've been trying to read it on short blips thru the TV. Excellent quote, which features the Reign and Kings - I can't believe John Milton was such a Kings/Reign fan tho.

Weird when your best offensive threat is your defensive captain, lol. He is very good.

I absolutely agree. Todd surprises me a bit - he gives Byfield a whole season of room to fumble around and improve - but not Spence to replace, say.. Edler. Who I think really, really needs to be replaced.

Spence was in the same training camp that every other right shot D-man currently on the roster (and Brandt Clarke) was this summer. He couldn't outplay them so he got sent down. Simple as that. Edler doesn't play the right side. Spence doesn't play the left side. They aren't in competition or interchangeable.

Spence should have been in the line up. The only way they will get NHL experience is by playing them. Spence will adapt, he is talented enough. Heck DD was giving the puck away all night. the bigger problem is that this team without Fiala drops down quite a bit. His absence was really noticeable throughout the line up. The PP sucked and 5 on 5 they were not effective. They have to win the games against a non playoff teams. No excuses. They beat the Avs then come home and lose like they did is just not acceptable.

It was a stinker, plain and simple. Fox and Faust kept trying to blame the ice surface. But both teams were playing on the same surface and the Kings were outplayed.

They have been on a great run. Time to regroup, move on and beat the Islanders.

It's one game. A tough, grinding game that they need to play when circumstances demand it.
They have to learn to play these games.
