***New Jersey Devils vs. LA Kings GDT 1/14/23 7:30pm on BSW***

I swear there are more Devils fans here than the number of people who actually live in New Jersey
 
Devils have had the Kings number in this period. Quickie's lack of confidence (and saves) hasn't helped.
 
Tonight’s bright spot once again is Rasmus Kupari. He looks fast and dangerous on every shift. Gonna be hard taking him out of the lineup.
 
Meanwhile, Seattle has won 8 in a row including 7 on the road including BOS and TOR. What a screwy season.
 
Copley needs a break and this isn't a division game...that's why Quickie is still there. Kings still have a chance. They need to keep pressuring Blackwood.
 
Devils are definitely owning the 2nd here, but if we go back to the reason they called Copley up... the saves arent being made. Quick doesnt look calm in net. The first thing we talked about when Copley came up was how he looks calm in net and seemed to bring that energy to the team. The Kings just need somebody in net who can make the saves. They dont have to win the game for this team, they just need to make the saves.
 
Seeing Quick like this is kind of heartbreaking. I'm not one to blame the goalie for everything, but he just hasn't been sharp. Almost every goal tonight has been 7 hole. Just aim for right under the blocker and you got a good chance of a goal. This really stings considering that he he didn't look bad last season.
 
The Kings have 0 goals five on five tonight. They gave up 3 goals to the lowly Sharks last game. They have given up 4 to a real good team tonight. Quick should have saved at least one goal, however when you can’t score 5 on 5 you won’t win many games.
