Do we know if it has died for sure though? I haven't followed up with my rep yet about moving out of 304. I want to make sure they won't be back for the "Big" games. The home opener was considered a "big" game, but I wouldn't consider the two weekend afternoon games to be "big".
 
Say it isn't so, the Royal Army is now on it's way out, I'm more shocked about that news than Michael Amadio being picked up by the Golden Knights.

Exactly!

That kind of thing is better suited for baseball, to keep the fans awake while the pitcher scratches his balls.

It was tolerable. They only broke out in a chant 1 time that I can remember. For the most part, they are not as loud and seem to time their drums to LGK chants. Note that we are in 314, was in 306. Maybe louder there and more annoying.

I agree with what kingnut said. I'm fine with what they are doing now. It was really good last night, the perfect balance of getting the crowd going but not being obnoxious

Two drums...mostly the MAJOR LEAGUE MOVIE "Go Kings Go"...only once they tried that odd soccer cheer that they did opening night. No one knows that chant, so it quickly faded away.

With the Royal Army a thing of the past - now I can bitch about other stuff...like:

It seems that the person running the 2 clips of SNOOP & WILL FARRELL have no freaking clue when to run them. Couple games ago - they ran the Snoop "power play" clip - right after the Kings took a penalty moments after the power play started. Wednesday night, the genius ran Will "big moment" segment at the start of the 2nd period. LAME

But not a lame as the "DROP" sound effect that someone thought was a good idea at puckdrop. No "Drop" for periods 1 and 2...but period 3...."DROP" before the actual drop. Nice timing....like when the scorekeeper flashed the red "commercial light" by accident - so the starting honoring of the HERO OF THE GAME...but the refs caught on and delayed the faceoff...but the HERO got short shifted....

I'll save more bitches for the annual survey that no one reads...

The "Drop" sound effect is from the Beastie Boys track "The New Style"...around 3:20 of the link below. Not sure if everyone knew that.

 
Sounds like the in-game experience has continued its path to corniness. The Beastie Boys soundbite is so cringe!!!

Ya know - Where I sit in 328, no one sits in the row in front of me (any longer) - I had these two knuckleheads who literally talked the entire game. I mean - non-stop chatter.

The wife literally hated them.

They didn't renew - so now they're up for grabs...been vacant the last 3 games...no lean problems in my section....

Besides - I'm in row 3 - and there's no row 4 or 5 (Just a big coke sign) so I constantly lean....

I had a family sitting behind me at the Montreal game, could pretty much tell it was their first game. They showed up in 2nd period as well.

Female kept yelling that she wanted to see blood and "hit him you pu$$y"
Kids kept yelling for fights, had zero clue how any rule worked
Same family's dad reached over my head, actually hit my head with his arm and grabbed a t-shirt from my hands that was thrown towards us. I didn't bother to react as he might have shanked me.
And then some knucklehead in the last row kept yelling "hit him" every minute or so.
