They do, but in the second it's a reference. This thread is now about discussing the nuances of the Beastie Boys.

Nice. Can't go wrong with Dem Boys...

...of all their vids, Gratitude and Sabotage stand above all the rest. The Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii vibe of Gratitude rules.

Pre-Thanksgiving Update:

Arizona game: NO "DROP" sound effect for any of the periods...

and the most important - NOBODY in that defunct "Royal Army" section.

Maybe they're all Chargers fans?

Not even the drums. The only mention was some dude on the jumbo-tron with a RA scarf.

I booed...

The Kings haven't garnered 2 points since the Staples Center name change announcement.... (the new Taylor Swift banner excuse)

Winning games is the only thing that will stop this whine-athon of a thread.

Assume you are a member, fan or president of the Royal Army Drum Club?

And no, we were still complaining about them during the win streak though thankfully we didn't have to hear them as the Kings were on the road.

I think I heard the drums once during the Toronto game...we were in 309 so not too far away.

Drums were very subdued today. I think management heard the complaints and eliminated the nonsense. They let the drum line play during the second intermission so they got their prime time.

I think the VEGAS - COPY CAT drum line is a separate thing from the group formally known as the RA...

Yep, 2 different entities. The drum line has been around for a couple seasons now, primarily walking the corridors and playing and occasionally making it on ice.

Wait, what? There are two drum groups?

Drum Line has been around since they saw Vegas has them...so...copy cat

The RA aka MAJOR LEAGUE movie drums are up in the arena... only 2 (from what I can see or hear)

Yes, there is the "Professional" drum line that has been around for at least 3 seasons now (maybe 4? I don't know....years have no meaning any more...) They play during intermissions. The drums in section 303 are just random people (although they may also be members of the professional drum line) playing once in a while. They have definitely toned it down to a very tolerable level. And, since Bailey's drum is now teeny tiny, it's nice to have the 303 drums get the crowd going some times.

I have also noticed the crowd, despite being small, is very rowdy this year....perhaps because food choices are very limited, so people are just skipping straight to the booze? Yesterday's late afternoon crowd seemed much more subdued....less beer, more kids.

My biggest gripe now is that the 300 level Wetzel's Pretzels has only been open for 1 game.

Oh, and they need way more paper towel dispensers in the ladies bathrooms. There are 2 dispensers for like 6 sinks, and you have to wave your hand in front of it like 4-6 times to get enough paper towels out to actually dry your hands.

And a bottle of Dasani is now $5.75. I can buy like 2 cases for that price on sale!

Is there a pretzel shortage? Been to 2 games and both times the Level 100 pretzel stand was completely out by 2nd intermission. Yet they keep the light on and some lady behind the cart lol.

They changed the Wetzel's cart by the Northwest entrance from Wetzel's to a Bud Light cart....hmmm....there is a conspiracy to keep us from eating pretzels!!

Opening Night 2021 - Banners & Drums. HUGE complaints - Many STH demanded to be moved away from these "fans" who think they are so important.

Fast Forward to Opening Night 2022. This from a Season Ticket Holder who was lucky enough to view the following:

"So, I sit in 304 and about 4-6 rows behind them. They were very loud all night; which cool, I?m loud too. But then in the 3rd they kept waving flags during play and several of us couldn?t see. there were several people, including myself who asked them nicely to put the flag down. The dude turned around and kept yelling either ?no, or **** you? whenever we asked.

Eventually one of the guys behind me went down and grabbed the flag and they started exchanging words. The guy who was waving the flag proceeded to scream and yell and curse at him while everyone, including my 5 year old and the 7 year old behind us looked on.

His friends got involved and were all screaming at this one individual. That guy went down to security and the ushers and they proceeded to call him names and make the ?throat slice sign? and flip him off every time he walked by....It was just so inappropriate. Don?t get me wrong. I'm all for rowdy and loud and we?re here to have fun. I?ve been coming to games since I was 4 (I?m currently 32) and I have never complained"

When I informed my rep about this incident (I'm in 328 - far enough away from these self-righteous "fans") all he says is that the "organization is working with this group" - and that they "are aware".

This is just one person's experience - yet there are way more.

Fans changing locations.
Fans not coming anymore.
etc..

Sorry - been going to games since 1974... these "fans" belong in Left Field Pavilion or The Black Hole with their behavior.

I guess they can't just be cool...they have to ruin everyone else's experience.

I hate Vegas and their stupid drum line (among other crap)

Now - it seems - our Kings are attempting to instill some sort of: Soccer Game / Vegas Drums / Support Group in section 303.

Questions: Anyone belong to this new group?
Is this going to be a positive?
Are we LA Galaxy on ice?
Is this spokesperson - DJ Baltazar - the same dude who sells Dodger themed 'Hooligan' gear?
Or is this another WE ARE UNITED theme song effort?
