True, but that was against Tkapuke. Granted, it's not a good look.

But still, it's no intentional unprovoked headbutt like Nurse on Danault... or Kassian's cross check to Durzi's back for no reason. Both of which are unrelated to a battle for the puck.
 
All this talk of them being dirty, one of the worst things I saw was that play where Nurse yanked Moor's skate up and flipped him completely over. That was the most overtly obnoxious thing that stood out to me.

Yeah that seemed like intent to injure to me as the whistle had blown and Moore was looking in a different direction.

Not sure how Kane is still playing - he should have been suspended for antics each of the last two games. Too many after the whistle cheap shots going on.
 
What is crazy is the refs didn't call a penalty on Nurse for head butting which says something about the refs in that game. Kassian is a punk skating around and taking cheap shots at Kings players. He wouldn't be doing that if he was playing against, say Reeves on the opposing team line up.

i agree that there's some nuance there. But every team has a guy that crosses the line here or there.

It's the playoffs don't bring me problems, just solutions. Below is a youtube tutorial on how to defend against the head-butt. Oi!

 
Kane and Kassian should have to join him. All 3 playing like goons and more concerned about cheap shots than anything else

Isn't that what Lemiuex is for? My guess is that Lemiuex is under instructions not to feed into it, as are the rest of the Kings. Gotta think if Edmonton stopped with the cheap shots and focused on playing the game it's very likely they'd be leading this series.

Smart move by the Kings staff and players to take the higher road and stay focused on the game itself.

Absolutely.

The best way to get back at Kane and the Oilers Goon Squad is to eliminate them from the playoffs. Kudos to the Kings for maintaining their composure. And now Edmonton has lost their best defenseman for an elimination game. Kings need to take advantage of his absence and end this tomorrow.

they were both suspension worthy. The head butt was pretty brutal as well. But Kane is leading with his elbow to the face. Doesn't really get more textbook than that.
 
Meh. Fog of war. Those guys are dirty, the Kings are gritty; tonight we find out which method is more effective. Go Kings!
