Official LA Kings Off-Season

Hmmm.. Kings themed distractions for a bored fan. You could start a petition, movement, event, online presence, suicide mission to rehang the Taylor Swift banner at the Ponzi scheme arena during Kings games?

From what I understand her fans are...engaging?

I heard her fans were really Ducks fans... Hang the banner in Anaheim where it belongs...

Still waiting to find out if they will be on TV
It is scary that they haven't announced the new plan yet, but there's no way they'll go without a TV broadcast. It's way to big of a market for either the Kings, or some station to let get away. As someone else said....I hope one of the standard stations make a deal with the Kings, and it's on a non-cable station. I have cable, but I know some people don't, and it sucks if they miss games because of it.

The fact that the Kings have had to pay for Radio for so many years that they went streaming doesn't give me confidence the Kings are on top of it. Hopefully the NHL takes over like MLB is doing for teams.

The Kings were one the of the "leaders" when they dumped their AM broadcast for streaming. So I am expecting the worst when it comes to the TV coverage this season. At least I won't be disappointed.

The Kings are a little more than two months away from the regular season and they have not disclosed any TV broadcast information. Interesting

The lack of TV coverage for a season has been done before.

[the ghost of Bill Wirtz has entered the chat]
When and where? I'm sure it was in a time when the market was much less valuable. With today's NHL, the Kings would take a huge hit on tv advertising and marketing. I just can't see them letting that kind of cash flow slip away. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

It wasn't that long ago where we were lucky to get 70 games televised. Of course the Chicago games were a no go.

Sean, Chicago under Wirtz there were no home games on tv because he wanted the fans to buy tickets. It was quite a few years as I recall. Also as you know the Kings have had a checkered past of tv providers pre the Prime Ticket era.

MLB is in the same situation this summer and now MLB.com produces the games for the teams that have lost providers.

Thank you, JW. And yes, I'm aware of teams not showing home games. Some only show home games if it's a sellout prior to game day. But at least they showed away games. I was referring to them not showing any games at all. I just don't see it happening, and I doubt it's happened at all in the modern sports era, with any major professional league. I hope the Kings don't go with the "away games only", but I seriously doubt they'll go with no tv coverage at all. But what do I know, since I haven't googled it yet! 😉

It seems like you're asking for a lot from someone who dunked on a dead man that owned an original six team that further clarified her intent to joke with two awesome, yet poignant (John Oliver and Pauly D) gifs. But, if that's how you like to have fun...do it.

You're going to be so embarrassed when Blake announces that the only way to watch the Kings next season outside of Crypto is a VR Headset purchased at the Samsung Experience store Los Angeles.

I guess one of us is in store for a future "told ya so!" from the other. I hope for all of our sake, I get the honor. 😁
