Panarin to Kings

Seems like a pretty decent trade to me. I don't like losing Greentree, but we are talking about getting an elite player here who has been a point per game player for the past 5 seasons.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the lineup tomorrow. He's been off since last Thursday and he will have plenty of time to clean up the moving details.

Oh, I've got jokes.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before but this feels like the JMFJ to Columbus for Jeff Carter trade. I realize Carter was a lot younger, but what we had to give up for star power is similar.

Well… I’m certainly intrigued. On one hand, you can’t shake a stick at getting a point per game All-Star in exchange for a 3rd and prospect. I don’t think Greentree is going to be the next Sennecke, but knowing how things have panned out with the other recent high end draft choices, it would be just our luck that he does, now in a Rags jersey..

The downside for me on this one, is that it clearly prolongs the inevitable full scale rebuild this team has needed for nearly a decade. With Ken Holland on the books for a couple more seasons, plus this trade, you can bet it’s not happening imminently.
