Who was saying the Kings were contenders after everyone and their mother agreed we had by far, THE WORST free agent / off season moves?

Everyone was saying quite the opposite. Aging team, no young blood in sight, younger players not taking their next steps, terrible coach, tenuous goaltending...

Why do they keep the puck to the outside and try to score on a slapshot every dang time. Other teams work the puck down low and crash the net. Seems to work for them, maybe the Kings could try something like that? Just a thought.
