The Kings burned a lot of draft pics and prospects to try to get Kopi and Drew another cup. They wanted another chance at a cup. Well, they did not even get them to the 2nd round. Kings need to get some of that spent capital back.

The Avs has the lowest goals against in the league. Either Wedgewood is very good or their defense is great or a mixture of both.

Colorado is an amazing team. Their top 3 centers are probably better than the Kings Best center. They have a current Norris trophy winner rather than a guy who won it a decade ago. That's the kind of crappy playoff matchup you get for having the 20th best regular season record

This team was not meant to be in the playoffs, the shootout is an abomination (always has been), 3 point games has to go, bring back ties.

Not what I hoped for, but what I expected. It's pretty obvious what we've been saying all year: the D corps is not good enough. We're almost out of the nostalgia phase and can rebuild this team, the right way, hopefully without Luc.

Smith didn't show me anything during this playoff run. He looked overwhelmed and out of ideas. I appreciate that the team kept most games close. I expected us to steal a game, which didn't happen, and was my minimum expectation for Smith. Waiting until game 4 to tinker with the line ups? Not good enough. Just because he played his 4th line more doesn't make him a good enough coach.

I'm glad I started posting earlier this season, it's been fun to add some LGK time to the games. Thank you all for everything you do on this forum and I look forward to more great conversations.

Kopi got to retire at home, which makes me happy.
