yep. his positioning and flopping have been a major problem.

besides that I think kempe and dubois are showing up, waiting on the rest of the team really. i wanted 55 22 and 80 together for months but am surprised he's doing it now
 
God I hate the Oilers. They've always been such scumbags. Their players have been scumbags. Their coaches have been scumbags. Their fans have been scumbags. I would imagine their kids are little scumbaglets.

Down 2-0...you knew they'd come out hot and heavy. All I can say is it could have been worse. Really wanted to see Rittich tonight instead of Talbot

Anyway, we need to get the next goal. If the Oilers get the next one, it may be over.
 
I've said it a few times before already but Talbot is still looking like a glorified backup goalie pretending to be a starter. His numbers earlier this season is looking like a mirage and Rittich objectively is better than Talbot since he's calmer and more poised in net whereas Talbot seems to be rather shaky and also is old by sports standards; he should not have been given the nod in net for LA despite his regular season numbers.
 
Have the Oilers had ANY issues skating through the neutral zone so far? My goodness, Kings played like garbage.

Everybody in the league hates Toronto but Edmonton is becoming like a real close second when it comes to unlikable fans in Canada. To me, they're neck-and-neck for the most annoying Canadian fans in sports. Then there's Montreal, third for most annoying fans in Canada, while Vancouver is fourth place.

whole lot of passengers in that first period. Kings gameplan was clearly take the body and slow the game down. It worked for 5 minutes. They out hit Edmonton 25-20. But guess what the difference was, the Oilers d-men and wingers got controlled exists and used speed to carve up the neutral zone.

In today’s NHL controlled exits and speed beat physicality. Period.
 
The Kings only won 15 games all year against teams that made the playoffs, this tracks. Talbot has only won 5 games against those teams since Thanksgiving.

Too old, too soft, no on-ice leadership, just enough skill to beat the poor teams.

It's such a poorly run franchise.

That's a painful stat, but it completely makes sense.
