Some of you fans don't like to hear it, but I've said it before about Kopi's leadership style: he's nowhere near the captain that Dustin Brown was and this team's softness starts with Kopi. Kopi's even softer than the Sedin twins and at least in the Sedins' case, they were able to create something from nothing with their dynamic offense. Kopi may be a better defensive player than the twins but offensively he's not as dynamic as they are. There, I've said it.

I’m not nearly as upset right now as I was during losses the last two years. Team’s backslid and so have expectations.

Best Kings can do is just keep hitting and get nasty. Show pride. Start Rittich game 2 and roll the dice.

I was just thinking this. We’re only half a game in here but does anyone even sense life in the Kings? Like they have a chance?

I hear so much about how the Kings have “matured” and are “healthy” these playoffs, but Doughty and Kopitar are two years older and the Oilers have gotten better. I think the first time we played them and had them on the ropes was the year. I think Copley could have won that series. Too bad.

One can only hope.
Is any of this surprising? The team is worse than it was last spring and gave up a ton of picks to get there. Blake peaked just before the 2023 trade deadline. Since then it has been mostly mistakes.
