End of 1st period. The Kings suffered from a slow start as they allowed the Soilers to score the first two goals in the game but then Juice cuts the Soilers' lead in half on the 4-on-4. There's reason for optimism as it's not a high-scoring game yet and LA has to come back and come alive in the next 40 minutes.

Taking everything into consideration, I'm more than satisfied trailing by only one goal after one period in Game 3 on the road. Not a perfect start, but it could be far worse.
Are you trying the reverse jinx or something? If you're serious your last two posts are silly. The game is a long way from over.

Kings need a PP early in the 2nd. Might not score but it’ll help set the tone for the rest of the period.

A good team who has not led once after 120 minutes of hockey is going to score first eventually. A team with McD, Draisaitl, and Bouchard who hasn’t scored a pp in two games is going to score a ppg eventually. A good team down 0-2 is going to come out absolutely buzzing at home.
Kings down 2-1? Shots even? Forced Pickard to make a couple decent saves? I wrote this one off before it started. Now i’m into it. This is a game.

They are, but that also means that the Oilers will eventually take some dumb penalties. Kings need to stay disciplined and let the Oilers shoot themselves in their skates.

Hey, I feel ya. I'm more stressed for this game then I was for the first two. Here are a few things to pep you up a bit:
1. Kings PK has been one of the best of the league
2. Kings have been scoring well against the poor Oiler goaltending
3. Oilers D is mistake prone
4. Kings PP has been lights out excellent in this series (see points 2-3)
What does this mean? It means keep the faith, brother. We'll get chances. Sure, we could lose this game, but we'll have the chance to win this game as well. In fact, based on the ice time McDiddles and Cry-saddle have been playing Oilers are a first period team. Give each period about 10 minutes and you'll see the ice tilt towards the oiler's net. Kings 4-2. Oilers squeek out a close win in game 4, and we close at home.

I’m trying not to complain because the team overall has been excellent through 7 periods of playoff hockey but Fiala’s 5v5 play has been so inconsistent. His passes haven’t been sharp. His puck handling has been sloppy and he just isn’t using his line mates effectively.
