I'm thinking more of instantaneous communication. Sounds like the Ansible from Enders game could be a reality. That would be a game changer for sure. Imagine getting probe data instantly and being able to send commands to robotics without the speed of light lag time to mars saturn or jupiter.
Would it though? Is it actually "traveling" through space? I thought I read something that said something like that would not be constrained by the speed of light. My memory is fuzzy though, so I could be wrong.Instantaneous for most of the likely implementations, but it also could not be intercepted during transmission. Effectively (and purely in analogous form) what you have is two sheets of paper that could be miles (or light years) apart. What you write on the sheet in front of you also appears on the other sheet. Stretch the distance enough, and it's not instantaneous since it's constrained by the speed of light.

I would appreciate help with stories that i can use to scar my children for life and never disobey me again

Welp now I'm scarred, but only a little more than usual
Teleportation: Photon particles today, humans tomorrow?

Grab some Advil...or maybe some vodka...before you head down this wormhole. Very cool stuff here if it is indeed legit.
No, not Star Trek teleportation...but what could be almost totally uninterceptable communication. Using quantum entanglement to transmit data long distances is a big step. Once honed (although I suspect this is further along than we know), this could be extremely useful and powerful.
Ah...Einstein's ol' "spooky action at a distance."
The implementation problem I see happening is that only governments and affiliated research institutions will have access to this technology. It will be severely restricted, since it makes no sense for a government to have an uncrackable communication network and for it to allow the same for the great unwashed, where it would blunt their ability to keep tabs on the populace. This will not trickle down.
It'll be the tech equivalent of the current wealth disparity.
Tell the little jammers this story, excuse yourself to use the restroom, then come back out nekkid and confused. They'll be scarred, too.
Do you know how many times they've pulled the Hitchcock shower scene move one me?
Hitchcock is said to have used chocolate syrup in that scene. Did you, uh, squeeze out some chocolate syrup too?
Another Juno pic released...
