UPDATE: Michelle Rodriguez Addresses "Rumors" She'll Play JUSTICE LEAGUE's 'Green Lantern'
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=115985

It's hard to say where this "rumour" began. However, it appears as if a few comic book sites suggested that Michelle Rodriguez would be an interesting choice for Jessica Cruz/Power Ring instead of Hal Jordan or one of the other male Green Lanterns, and it's this which led to a few film blogs running with the story like it was an actual rumour rather than just speculation. Regardless, TMZ asked the actress about these reports recently, and she's not interested in being cast for the sake of it. "That's the dumbest thing I ever heard,. I think it's so stupid because of this whole minorities in Hollywood thing. It's so stupid. Stop stealing all the white people's superheroes. Make up your own. What's up with that?" She doesn't appear to be joking (and clearly isn't aware that the Green Lantern she's rumoured for isn't white to be fair), but her comments do seem to reflect those of a fans who would rather see more minority characters brought to the big screen instead of others being changed. What do you guys think? Share your thoughts below...

UPDATE: The actress has now released a video statement via Facebook to clarify her comments, making it clear that she had no intention to offend, and expressing her desire for Hollywood to stop taking white characters and forcing them to fit another culture. Instead, she would prefer to see characters of another race have their own mythologies built around them. What do you think?

More importantly, why would anyone sign her for a part. She has a history of being a little 'off' and pretty much demonstrates that again. If not for Fast and Furious, she likely would have been out of Hollywood a while ago.

David Ayer Teases SUICIDE SQUAD Sets And Jared Leto's "Majestic" Take On THE JOKER

Funny, there has been very little 'not Ben Affleck!!!!!!' reaction to Leto playing the Joker. Maybe because Suicide Squad isn't a Superman/Justice League flick. Personally I am looking forward to it. Leto is surprisingly good in a lot of stuff, and just seemingly odd enough to maybe bring something to the table.

I don't particularly like Jared Leto (probably because of his band), but he's a fantastic actor. I'm very curious to see his take.

Rumor of the Day: Is this the villain in the Suicide Squad movie?
http://www.blastr.com/2015-3-12/rumor-day-villain-suicide-squad-movie

Now, even if you consider yourself a pretty prolific DC reader, you might be going "Who?" right now, and you're not alone. Antiphon isn't a very well-known villain, only popping up a couple of times in the second volume of Suicide Squad back in 2002. According to this report, though, he won't be alone in the film. He'll be leading the terrorist group Onslaught, which has been around in various forms since Suicide Squad #1 back in 1987 (they were called The Jihad back then). There's no word yet on who might be joining Antiphon on the Onslaught team, but the group will reportedly be hunting down superpowered people for their own reasons. As for Antiphon himself, he's described as a "burn victim" with a prosthetic leg, and Ed Harris is among the actors rumored to play him.

Of course, this is all unconfirmed at the moment, but if it's true it looks like Suicide Squad could be a special-ops-team-vs.-special-ops-team showdown.

Wow. DC is just gonna go all heavy on this, like the Justice League. Actually happy about that. The more characters they have to work in...the more distinct the costumes will need to be. May be too many cooks...but throw a buncha **** in and some of it will have to succeed.
