Ok way late to this... But, I probably would have liked it, if each scene lasted more than two minutes. To me it felt like they took an eight hour movie and squished every scene down to a couple hours. The killing Zod thing, eh, not a biggie for me.

I agree that the fighting scenes were overkill, but the whole killing of Zod is flawed. Did you like Superman 2? Supes threw Zod down an abyss along with his minions.

People need to get over this killing of Zod crap. The writers have a plan & they have said it will be a main theme in the next movie.

Yeah, honestly him snapping Zods neck was the highlight for me amidst a bunch of lows. At the least, this Superman has shown that he can f your s up your a.

I think killing Zod was a pretty obvious choice. With what technology on Earth are they going to imprison him? What exactly is the alternative?

Of all of the stupidity in this movie, I'm shocked this created any controversy at all. I mean it's one thing to kill an evil human being (like say Lex Luthor), but an evil super alien hell bent on the destruction of the planet that can't be contained by anything on it? Yeah, let him live.
