Justice League Release Date May Come Soon After Batman v Superman

In an article about the big Batman v Superman move over at EW, Warner Bros. president of domestic distribution Dan Fellman said that we will find out what some of those untitled DC films are later this month and, as paraphrased by EW, “that the first real Justice League adventure might be closer than you think.” The outlet then suggests that Warner Bros. could make use of the Batman v Superman hype by quickly following it up with a sequel that would introduce more classic characters fast. Fellman then replied:

“While it hasn’t been officially announced, I think it’s a pretty good bet.”

Del Toro on the status of his Justice League Dark film, odds we'll see TV's Constantine | Blastr

But what about NBC’s upcoming Constantine series, you might ask? Del Toro said he’d consider using the same actor (the pitch-perfect Matt Ryan) if the tone fits, and he wants to find a way to fit the Spectre in there, as well:

“I would love to have The Spectre in it, because he's one of the most..absolutely, beyond moral characters in this universe and he does crazy things...but, I'm happy with...they're doing that with Constantine. What I made clear to them is that the tv series will not effect the movie and they said that's okay. They said you can have independence. Now, if we see the TV series and we can mesh with it or cast the same actor depending on where the movie is going, I would be happy to consider that.

Here's some nice batman shoes for your woman

I have been playing the Batman Arkham Asylum game (hey, we're building a special prison for supervillains and we're going to keep Poison Ivy there, so let's put in a botanical garden for the hell of it - what could go wrong?), and wow there are a lot of Batman villains, even after you toss the hopelessly cheesy and unworkable ones (sorry, Killer Croc). Stop this abomination and fill two dump trucks with money for Nolan and Bale. Also, Anne Hathaway.

Scoot McNairy's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DOJ Role Revealed?

"Scoot is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs where pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs." The source goes on to add "He doesn't blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world."

Let's hope that is a leaked counter rumor.

Here's a fascinating breakdown of J.J. Abrams' cancelled Superman flick | Blastr

From what we’ve learned about the movie, we think it was ultimately a good thing that the controversial superhero flick was never made, since it featured really dark and bizarre — even if they were at times fascinating — ideas that turned the Superman mythos on its head.

Below are a couple of highlights we gleamed from the Official Comic Book Movie Podcast The Weekly Planet, which discusses Abrams’ Superman: Flyby.

Superman: Flyby featured an origin story that had Krypton in the midst of a civil war.
Jor-El had a corrupted brother and was at war with him.
Kal-El’s dad specifically picked the Kents for his son.
Superman is defeated and killed by four Kryptonians, including his own cousin, who knew ... Kryptonian kung fu. (You can blame that one on The Matrix.)
Jor-El is still alive and Krypton has not exploded.
Learning of his son’s death, Jor-El commits ritualistic suicide while in prison and meets up with Kal-El in Kryptonian Heaven.
Kal-El is resurrected because he's the chosen one and returns to Earth to defeat the four Kryptonians who killed him -- having learned Kryptonian kung fu.
The movie would've ended on a cliffhanger, with Superman going to Krypton.
Earlier versions had Lex Luthor as a Kryptonian who could fly and also knew kung fu.
In a throwback to the first Superman flick with Christopher Reeve, our Man of Steel circumnavigates around the globe to take out a MECH. (But why does he need to do that, really?)
There’s a version of the script where Martha Kent is nearly raped by their landlord.
Shia Laboeuf was approached to play Jimmy Olsen.
