Superman v Batman/DC movies

Look...I am a HUGE fan of the original Suicide Squad. I have been waxing about that series for years on this forum. And I get the whole diversity thing, I do. I do not like retro fitting established characters to fill quotas(also on record) but in the case of Sam Jackson as Nick Fury I can take it for what it is. But if you take a whiter than white racist Australian and turn him into Will Smith...I am gonna ****ing move to the moon. What made the original series work is that you had these indentured third rate sometimes villains/sometimes heroes herding a bunch of unapologetic bad guys who were trying to earn pardons. In the case of Cap'n Boomerang you had a guy who didn't play well with others, and who was craven and cowardly at times...trying to find an angle to sabotage the whole thing and make his escape during the pandemonium. All while being entirely likeable and charming in the rogue-ish antihero way. Tom Hardy was a good choice for that. I can envision him pulling that tightrope mix off. NOT Will Smith. Big Willie style does not have the range to make that work. And honestly, the whole thing truly depends on that dynamic. THE MOST GALLING THING...there is a character in the series who is African American, Bronze Tiger. Weary and defeated that he is babysitting this mess because of bad choices he made. PERFCT FIT for Will Smith. What the bloody hell???????? Seriously, if this is true I may stop watching superhero flicks entirely. I was sooooooo happy when this project became a reality, but, as usual, they seem to be on the precipice of flat out tanking any chance of success it may have. Take it from someone who ADORES the comic...Will Smith cast as Lestat in the Vampire Chronicles would be less of a misstep. It's that bad of an idea. Don't do this...please.

She has directed some of the best episodes of Game of Thrones as well as Breaking Bad...including the 'Hank in the parking lot with the Diablo Brothers' episode(which has the most intense 5 minutes ever seen on tv i.m.o.)

In this case, you'd be right. That is a fundamental change to the character. I think it's different in the case of a Nick Fury or a Johnny Storm, for example, because there isn't really anything about those characters that is specifically caucasian. A black actor can be an arrogant hothead just as easily as a white one.

Captain Boomerang, though, most definitely requires white.

Constantine Halted At 13 Episodes But Not Cancelled

On Friday the cast and crew of NBC’s Constantine were told that the production will be stopped after the initial 13 episode order that it received. But the series is not cancelled and is in strong contention for a second season.

The show has been gaining audiences since its initial airing with it being up 38% with the fifth episode that aired Friday. The problem is that unlike other freshman shows, Constantine didn’t start until late October giving the network only four episodes to make a full season commitment on. So NBC will see how the show does over the last eight episodes and then make a decision about a second season.

Yeah, just a bit confused why Will Smith is DS when BT is a better choice...
