Superman v Batman/DC movies

I wasn't sure if Joker was going to be cameo/guest star, or major player. Judging by the promo stuff so far I would imagine he features pretty prominently.
 
My PVR is going to be on overdrive running for 5 straight hours tonight... DC special event is an hour. Flash is an hour. Cap has an hour special for his 75th. Agent Carter is 2 hours.

While every new Batman/Superman trailer makes me feel worse about that movie, the parts and pieces coming out from Suicide Squad are assuring me that it won't be Uwe Boll bad as I once feared.

Color me cautiously optimistic. ;)

Suicide Squad jumps to the top of 2016 for me until we get a Rogue One Sneak Peek.

Oh and WW for 2017 looked good for the 45s clip we saw tonight.
 


Really tired of all this cool kids 'oh this looks so bad' reactionary crap. Look, either see it or don't. But maybe you can wait till you see more than 3 minutes of footage before you judge the damned thing. And don't tell me I am a hypocrite because the Transformer movies suck. I DON'T need to see them to make that judgement.
 
Can we skip Batman vs. Superman and go straight to Suicide Squad? BvS is a yawn for me, but Suicide Squad looks awesome.
 
Apparently I'm the only one who thought the SS trailer hit the wrong note and went from looking sleek and smart to camp and trite?

I think Margot Robbie is going to steal the film, but the trailer last night just did NOT work for me.

I was a little concerned with the dark on dark on dark look of it. And that obvious Vancouver set of an entire city with NO foot traffic looks a little suspect, but the more I see, the more I can forgive the retrorace casting of Floyd Lawton because Will Smith looks involved for the first time in a while. I sure do wish Cap'n Boomerang would put the hat on though. It's in the pop art poster, so I am optimistic. So like Joel Kinnamen too. I have to say, he feels a little miscast. But I hope it works out...he's a good actor.

So I am firmly in the camp of I will probably see it. It just looks so darn serious though! That is why SS looks so good because it isn't taking itself so serious. I loved the first half of Man of Steel but when the city destruction took place it lost me and we have talked about that ad nauseum. If there is some moments of levity in BvS that will help but right now everything they are showing just looks too darn serious for me. But I will see it and then cast my judgment. I know I may be the only one in my household though. My wife already said she doesn't want to see it and my kids are on the fence.
