Thank you, Quickie

Champion, LEGEND. Jonathan Quick is the greatest net-minder in Los Angels Kings History. The Cups, the playoff runs, his performances were on-par, and are all reminiscent to me, of the modern greats, Belfour, Brodeur, Roy, Hssek, and even the Ranger cup performance of his idle, Richter, in 94.

Quick will always be the greatest King goalie to date, and this is strictly business, which at the end of the day is what the LA KINGS are, a business.

We all hope to see #32 in the rafters....

Nothing else to say that hasn't already been said, thank you Quickie you will go down as the GOAT in Kings history.

Quick was the main reason we won that first CUP!! We wouldn't even have made the playoffs with anyone else in goal. I would have loved to see him end his career as a King, but obviously he wasn't happy as a backup and he had lost a step. Definitely one of the alltime greats and he deserves the Hall of Fame.

Look forward to seeing your jersey up in the rafters Quickie. Hope you are able to rebound and still play if that is your wish. A true Kings legend.

Thank you to the man who brought us so many things besides the stability in net and a path to 2 cups:

1) Blocker punching Perry in the nuts
2) Hitchcock's wtf face in the playoffs
3) Sad Jumbo Joe face
4) "These ****ing guys"
5) That look he gave Matt Greene when Greene blocked that shot with his face
6) Saving Maddie's life nonchalantly in a postgame presser
7) Doing the splits more times than Van Damme

I've got too much work to do to find the associated gifs, please feel free to post em.

I have a feeling he will retire after this season but maybe sign a 1 day thing so he can retire a King.

But definitely the best goalie the Kings have had and got us 2 Stanley Cups! Not going to lie but as a fan back in the Purple and Gold days to Gretzky to Palffy and still 0 Cups, I thought I would never see the Kings win one in my lifetime. But he helped get us 2 and almost a 3pete. Thank you Quick and I hope you can do a 1 day contract to retire a King!

Love you Jonathan Quick! Thanks for the memories! YOU ARE the MAN!

This is what I think a lot of people don’t understand. Quick was a Godsend. There’s no cup in 2012 or 2014 without him, not to mention the Kings would have gone on to continue to be the Kings of old, horrible horrible goaltending. Quick provided not only stable, but GREAT goaltending.

The greatest and most important player to the Kings success to ever don the Kings jersey.

Thank you Mr. Quick.

Here is a pic of Quick I took during the 2015 training camp. Thanks for the ******in' memories man!

This is a tough one. Hoped he'd be a King for life. In his prime, was like a ninja... So athletic! An absolute treat to watch and a beast of a competitor.

The line bolded above, in my opinion, is without a doubt the truth. No other single player was more responsible for the Cup wins other than Quickie. His quiet, determined, intense professionalism is without equal and will be sorely missed.

I've been a fan since before the Rogie days, and suffice it to say, JQ is THE GOAT Kings' goalie.

While I do understand the reasons for the trade, my heart like many Kings' fans' hearts, is broken into a million tiny pieces. I REALLY wanted to see him retire as a King with all the respect he's due.

Haven't posted in years, but had to say Quick will be missed and agree with him being most responsible for the Cups. Hopefully, he will be back either on a 1-day contract or another capacity. A bittersweet day in terms of the team making a decent (hopefully) trade, but ending an era.

Thank you Quick, for everything. Giving Kings fans hope, reason to believe. You were a brick wall on the road to our first cup. You inspired us on the road to our second cup especially in round one against San Jose. From the pep talk you gave the team on the bench to the shutout and to going after Thornton in game 6 to keep the fire lit under the team for game 7. Through and through you were amazing and we are grateful for everything you did for this team. I'm glad you were on our side and not someone we would have to face. You deserved better than this from the organization. Thanks again for everything good luck! #32
