This feels so much like when everyone thought Klein was gonna get tossed, and then AEG announces a contract extension.

Kuntz has hitched his wagon to Vanney. Vanney is now Kuntz coach selection.
Kuntz is now "ride or die" with Vanney.



Maybe I am wrong.....maybe Vanney needs another 3 more years to get the Galaxy defense corrected.
Just hang in there for three more years, and we will no longer see unmarked players in the box get easy goals.

As a G's fan, I just feel numb.
 
In fact, Vanney will sign a three-year deal through 2028 that will make him the highest paid coach without a dual sporting director title, multiple sources briefed on the deal told The Athletic.

G's didn't get embarrassed at home.
G's got a draw at home

Should we feel excited for a home draw?
OR
Is the bar so low now that a draw at home feels like something spectacular.

What I do know is PLAY CUEVAS!!! That kid can ball! Why he gets 10-15 minutes is beyond me.

For once they didn't look completely out of depth. I thought they might actually have a chance at a 3rd.

Reus two games in a row that weren't wholly awful? A chance?

And yeah, the bar is so low a draw at home feels like a win.
 
Poch is just putting a spin on what he has available. I do think the gold cup is traditionally a good tournament to scout US based players; hopefully several of them will break into the full lineup.

The streak is over….sweet victory!

Were the G’s great? Nope.
I mean they gave away a one on one chance early in the match….ugh! Thankfully Micovic was brilliant.

How was the defense? Still bad.
Yoshida giving the ball away consistently. Horrible passing galore. Still scary playing out of the back.

Offense now clicking? Not really.
But at least they scored 2 on RSL.
Offense still builds to the final 3rd and then everyone stands around and nobody makes any runs at all.

I don’t want to be a fly in the ointment, but the G’s still don’t look great. Glad for the win, but RSL (as bad as they are of late) could have won this one if not for the woodwork and some amazing goalkeeping.

Hopefully this will build confidence going into the break, and the G’s can work on things more.

I will say, keep starting Nascimento and Micovic.

A Galaxy game was actually fun to be at? Check.

Just as I was screaming at Paintsill not to try dribbling through multiple defenders himself, he slots in that goal. I was a little surprised at Sanabria coming out at halftime. Haven't heard if it was injury related or not.

Collective groan when Micovic was announced as starting turned to a collective thank god Micovic was starting by the time the game ended. Yes some lucky breaks but he did very, very good.

Defense still suspect but Yamane I thought looked better getting up the field and tracking back.

Nobody joined in my "how s*** must you be, you can't even beat us" singing.

Want to really go crazy? Galaxy are only 15 points out of a playoff spot.....
