The All Things MLS, NWSL, USMNT/USWNT et al Thread

Amazing. Good to see you back on the Vanney In side. :)

My wife ended up getting invited by a co-worker and went, sitting right behind the announce booth. She high fived Landon Donovan, got a picture with Omar Gonzalez, and got both Robbie Keane and AJ De La Garza to wave. She didn't understand why everyone was booing Twellman that led to a comical outburst from me via text exchange. Solid result. Where was Carlos Ruiz though in the prior player lovefest? ha.

Up 2-0 I thought the Galaxy might run off a 4-0 or 5-0 win. Once NY scored the game completely changed. Galaxy went from onslaught to just staying compact. Very nervous there for a bit, especially the last 10 minutes. Then it was party time.

Loved Paintsill first freaking out then finding Puig's jersey and holding it up after the goal. Great to see how much he means to them.

Big, big, big ups to Garces for 2 amazingly timed tackles that if made a split second later would've been penalties.

We used to sing oh captain my captain to Donovan. Happy to sing it to Yoshida. Some sake was downed.

No losses at home!

Infantino there to hand supporter's shield to messi. Not there for MLS Cup. In your face!

Back on top where we belong. Few more months till we get started again. Boycotts work!

Let's GO! CONCACAF Champions Cup

The draw: LA Galaxy will start at the round of 16 which begins on March 4.
They will play the winner of Real Salt Lake V Herediano.

Finally some sense!!!!!!!!

Sources: Liga MX commissioner say the league will not be interrupted by Leagues Cup. So expect a lot of midweek games for next year’s edition.

No more league shut down for stupid cash grab tournament.

meh?

Hmmmmm...checking club world cup teams......checking list....checking MLS clubs...........
....Sounders......ok.............Miam...ii.......huh, ....why?........weird........probably Messi.......well, ok.......now where are the Champions of MLS Cup.......looking for the G's.......must be at the bottom of the list because we just won it all so recently.............gets to bottom of list..........WTF?!?!??!

G's boned by FIFA.

Gaston Brugman traded to Nashville for Sean Davis.

Form what I have seen of his defensive stats, Davis is a proper 6. Defense all the way.
He's not going to give you goals or assists, but he will be a stopper & distributor.

Is he better than Brugman? I think they are two "different" animals.
However this was really a $$ deal. G's have to shed big contracts.

Sucks to see him go. Brugman was a great team guy, and glad he won MVP.
However in this league with the cap, a bench player making $1.4 mill. really hurts.

Once a G, always a G.

Thanks for the memories Brugman. Davis, let's see what you got.

Just got my tickets for the home opener against SD. Sec 130 for $73 each after fees. Same section for the LAFC game is $138/ticket. haha

Pushing me to just get season seats...

Also, did you see the Miami/New England trade?

TRANSACTION: Inter Miami CF trades forward Leonardo Campana to the New England Revolution, acquiring $2 million in 2025 GAM, $500,000 in 2026 GAM, a 2025 international roster slot and a 2026 international roster slot. Inter Miami will retain a sell-on percentage of any future sale of the forward and could receive up to $750,000 in GAM should Campana meet certain performance-based incentives.

That is quite a haul
