Well, there goes my big brain idea about a DP striker.

Word on the street is that Nascimento reportedly is coming back on another loan.
Unclear by sources say it's only a 6 month loan.....in time for summer transfer window.

Timing seems to line up with Bota's transfer ban from FIFA going into effect yesterday:

Tinfoil hat theory that keeps my strategy alive:
G's get Nasci on loan for 6 months, in the summer G's pull the trigger and get Lewandowski!

back on loan means we still have the DP to use right? Could use that to target another top striker or someone in midfield..

Replace Lewandowski with Kane and you have my attention :)

Nasci is a U22, so no DP impact. The open DP spot will be when the G's exercise the season ending injury designation for Riqui.

IIRC, Kane's contract runs until summer 2027. Don't think the G's gonna have the $$ to buyout or transfer in 2026.

However, if Kane makes a move in summer 2027, I think there will be significant bids for him in MLS as the premiere "get" for the start of MLS new calendar shift season.

My head is swirling.........so here's a thought for the midfield.....a solution to the Riqui problem:

Weston Mckennie. Does not appear he and Juventus will come to a contract agreement......so after the US does "well" in the World Cup.......and the casuals in the US now know your name....come to Galaxy!!!

Weston to the G's at the summer transfer window!
Let's Go!!!

.....I'll see myself out.....

I would say without having read the article yet, a lot of this probably has to do with premier league and other euro league viewings which can get huge numbers, in addition to MLS

Exactly.

The chart in the article refers to the "sport" and not leagues.

Soccer in the US is unique in that MLS is not top tier in the world, where as NFL, NBA, MLB is.
Most US fans don't watch CFL football, or Euroleague basketball, or Nippon Baseball.

However with soccer it's the other way around.
...but as for MLS, the fact that soccer is now #3 for US sports fans....a rising tide raises all the boats.
