The Avengers/Marvel movies

At some point, when A guy goes to the same trick/theme everytime, no. It becomes expected and then you are no better than M. Knight Shamalayan.

apples <><><><><><><><><><><><><>oranges. Avengers is a crowd pleasing summer popcorn flick(retarded fun for the masses) while Inception is an adult/sci-fi/bloated sense of self importance fest.

You made the comparison.

Only because liking Inception skews your ability to criticize, well...anything.

Didn't you like Watchmen?

But seriously, The Avengers is such a generic action flick. Like I said in my post several pages ago, I'm sick of Downey playing himself in every movie and his stupid witty banter with Gwyneth is beyond annoying at this point. Scarlet is only there to show off her ass. While nice, I'd like a little more out of the 2 hours. Sammy J is completely pointless. Thor and the Captain are not interesting characters to begin with, though I like Hemsworth. Ruffalo was probably the best part of the movie but then, he's in it for about 27 seconds. The key to any movie like this is the villain and Loki is just another forgettable bad guy. How am I supposed to believe that he alone can beat all the good guys by himself? One of which is a god. Yay, let's just watch a CGI fest like we do in almost every summer movie. Because that's so new and inspiring. Boring. Just a boring freakin' movie. Anyone could have made it.

This would be a lot easier if you guys would just say that I'm right and went on with it.
