The Comic Books and Comic Book movies thread

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST Magazine Cover Images Featuring Peter Dinklage and Sentinels | Collider

These pics do NOTHING to relieve my sense of impending doom about this pic. In my opinion, they REALLY blew the Sentinel's look. What was an iconic design is now stripped down to basic silver elements that have no distinction whatsoever and will make it hard to differentiate between them and the other multiple transformer-esque CGI heavy movie robots. Look at Pacific Rim. PAINSTAKING detail put in to create multiple identifiable looks for the Jaegers. And it helped to add personality to them. I don't fear these Sentinels...they look like assembly line machines. Lets be honest...Singer has proved to be a hack. Everything except Usual Suspects can be questioned...even the X-movies he did. I expect this to be a joyless mess as well.

And now...this bunch of mess. Quicksilver...ooof. That's f'n 'orrible. Not just that he looks nothing like the character from the comic...just ewwwwwwwwww gawd that would be bad in a '50's Batman episode. And the coiffed Beast modeling from the Gap collection...yipes. I do like young Prof X's 'I see someone in the audience who's name starts with t...' vibe. Oh wait, no I don't. Good lord this is just gonna be a hot mess. Can't wait till they ruin this and move on to Apokolips.

I have no idea who Quicksilver is, but the one on that magazine cover looks so lame that a punch to his face would only be an improvement.

Where the frick is Cyclops?

Quicksilver, a mutant gifted with incredible speed, is the son of Magneto.

I have been avoiding spoilers for Days of Future Past, but if the "past" timeline is continuous from First Class and the "present" timeline follows "Last Stand"...

(Yes, I'm about to use the spoiler tag, even though we don't have one, and even though I'm only spoiling movies that have been out for years...

Cyclops is a child in the "past" timeline and dead in the "present" timeline.

I assumed that certain things that happened in X-Men 3 only because the studio was bitter at Bryan Singer and James Marsden for making the Superman movie were now null and void since Singer was back. Preferably, everything in X-Men 3, including its very existence, is null and void.
