The Comic Books and Comic Book movies thread

BIG YAY...because it is gonna be fun, colorful and comic-booky...you know, all thethings that comic book movies have killed with realism and dread dire seriousness.

I don't know a single thing about this series. Can anyone give me a yay/nay to see this and why? I don't want to read up on it in wikipedia or anything. I know all of you can give me a 1-2 sentence response that I can live with.

KGK!

That, plus with a director like James Gunn there's a very good chance that it will both poke fun at and pay homage to the big, colorful comic-booky things. And will likely have some great dialogue.

Smoking is bad, peeps.

But then again, John Constantine is a bad man. ;)

Maybe, if the do the Dangerous Habits story they can give him another vice, like say, eating too much cookie dough. rolleyes:

However, there was a time that I thought that if I smoked I'd look cool, but not Hellblazer cool, but Bette Davis cool. mhihi:

Have you learned nothing from the whole Sesame Street/Veggie-Monster kerfluffle?

Hurm, judging by that ad at the bottom NEW SUICIDE SQUAD? Is it a solo book or SS? Or both. The comic book division cannot afford to fumble that. He is huge on Arrow and in the new Arkham game and all, he is like DC's Deadpool without the jokes. It just has never held as a comic. I collected the run a while back(8-10 years???) and that was a good comic. Always loved the look, but Slade Wilson has been a tricky character to write for the masses. Not always bad, not always good. That run a ways back he was almost Alan Quartermain-y. Like I said, tricky. But the market should be there.
