Well, least I can finally catch up.

First off:

In all seriousness ending this story will make me very sad. With The Goon at least you know where he stands and what he stands for. Lonely Street will never be the same.

welllll ****.

Dredd 2 Still Dead
http://www.dreadcentral.com/news/85172/dredd-2-still-dead/

IGN caught up with director Alex Garland, who offered an update on the proposed film.

“As far as I’m concerned? Yeah, it is [dead],” said Garland. “My hope is, and I actually think this will happen – somebody else will do it. Not to be all coy and silly about it, but I think our film was better than the first one, right? Just to be blunt. And the job of the next people is to make their film better than ours. And then if they do that, then finally, maybe this character will break out in the way that it deserves to. But we’ll see.”

What The Hell Is Going On With Josh Trank?s Reboot Of ?Fantastic Four??
http://uproxx.com/movies/2015/01/wh...on-with-josh-tranks-reboot-of-fantastic-four/

Wow...weird rumors coming out,

That seems like a good review, right? So with that and Teller previously saying that he loved the script, we can just pack up shop and move along, wait for Fantastic Four to hit theaters, and then listen to Teller complain about how it made him feel dead inside way down the road. Or? we could address the lingering rumors that Trank trashed the set and/or his living quarters for the film so badly that Fox Filmed Entertainment?s CEO had to fly in and personally apologize to the property owner, which JoBlo breathed some life into today. The ?story? they linked to is actually the LSU message board Tiger Droppings and a thread that gets interesting with some posts on Nov. 26 from user ?stegs_81?:

After the crap Trank pulled in Baton Rouge, i doubt he ever directs a studio picture again. He will certainly never work for Fox. At this point that F4 reboot might never get released.

A buddy of mine was on the crew. Trank showed up to set late or so high he couldn?t speak almost everyday. Some days he didn?t show up at all. He treated crew terribly. He trashed the house the production company rented for him. From what I?m told he did a couple hundred grand worth of damage.

True or not, a couple hundred grand worth of damage is both astounding and impressive. Sure, it?s also assholish, but you have to really work hard to achieve that. The next day, ?GreatLakesTiger24? wrote, ?can confirm what is bolded? in regard to Trank showing up late and high, but also ?not sure about the rest but could find out.? Stegs_81 came back three days later and added:

Trank did so much damage to the house that [Fox Filmed Entertainment Chairman and CEO] Jim Gianopulos came to Baton Rouge and personally apologized to the owners. Trust me, Trank?s career is done. There will be no major study sequels or spin offs for him. He?ll be lucky to get the sequel to a Stabbing at Leia?s 21st Birthday.

So, yeah. But if he is such persona non grata, why did Disney turn around and hire him for a Star Wars spinoff. Lots going on here and I don't think we will know till we start seeing trailers(possibly Super Bowl, Probably with The Kingsman). The complete lack of any promotion and the last minute pulling of their SDCC 2014 panel really have me nervous. But what if...I am sooooooooo curious to see what a mess this is, or not. It's been a fascinating ride so far.

Ok. 3 or 4 days of reshoots. And Trank is still involved. FOX has a TON riding on this. If it were reshoots with a different director I would be worried, but this is pretty standard stuff. And Trank is still involved. Maybe FOX realizes that this rumor mill stuff is actually good publicity and it don't cost nuthin. Sooner or later we are gonna see whats up though. How odd would it be if this wound up like that FF movie from way back that never got released? I hope the movie is half as fascinating as the ride has been so far.

The End Of The Marvel Universe – Marvel’s Big Secret Wars Announcement, With Video And Updates

Axel Alonso has announced the smashing and incursion of the main 166 Marvel Universe and the Ultimate Universe colliding. Tom Breevoort gives them eight hours to find out how to stop it.

And they don’t. In Secret Wars #1.

Marvel said that all of the titles that they will be publishing during the Secret Wars are building the new Marvel universe going forward. None of them are stand along. And that each will contribute to the new normal. All the book they have been teasing are included in the new universe and they are only the tip of the iceberg.

And Battleworld is what comes out. No Marvel Universe or Ultimate Universe, just Battleworld in an empty void….

Interesting.
