Because the CW is geared towards tweeners and Deadman is not going to work retrofitted with Boston Brand as a 20-something. I would love to see it, but if Smallville is the framework they are going by, I would rather not.
 
Release Date For Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-ray & DVD Revealed?

The Blu-ray for The First Avenger will feature DTS HD Master Audio 7.1 and a 2:39:1 aspect ratio. Though Paramount has yet to fully detail the release, an unconfirmed listing of special features is outlined below.

Everyone from Mendes to HBO was eager to adapt his mammoth work, but even after 15 years, as Ennis says, “We’re really no closer than we ever were.” He cites two factors for his fan favourite stalling at the planning stage. “One is that there are nearly 2,000 pages and the structure of it is such that it’s very hard to isolate a small fraction to do as a story for a film. The other reason is the religious aspect, because no one has ever said, ‘Yes, God exists, but he’s a dick.’ ”
