The Comic Books and Comic Book movies thread

Warren Ellis said:
It finally just broke on Deadline. My old friend Tim Miller, a VFX genius (mostly recently lauded for the credits sequence he shot for GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO), has signed to direct GRAVEL for Legendary Pictures, based on the GRAVEL books I created, as published by Avatar Press.

Note that this film has writers who aren’t me. I can’t say a lot more than that without giving some stuff away, but some of you will remember that the original plan was for me to write this film. Plans changed and expanded, and I was working on other things both announced and rumoured during the initial process on this film. My relationship with Legendary has grown since we made the initial deal a couple of years ago. All is good.

X? Ghost? Ha!

Barbed Wire also came out of those books, right? I still want to watch that movie just to see how bad it is. Probably couldn't be worse than Virus. :facepalm:

Timecop on the other hand? :D

Mark Waid And Daredevil’s Fingers | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Remember the Bleeding Cool story last month, pointing out a certain panel in Daredevil #9 that seemed to suggest certain sexual activities between Daredevil and Black Cat? Sure you do.

A Little Bleeder reported last month;

I met Paolo at the Toronto Comic Con today — great guy, very friendly. I brought up the stinkfingers and he not only confirmed them, but told me that Mark Waid came up with a special surprise regarding them, after seeing the artwork in # 9. All will be revealed in issue 10.

Can’t wait!

I didn’t want to do anything back then that might have affected its publication. Which was yesterday. So from issue 10, this appears to be Mark’s response to Paolo’s art for that scene… a letter from the Black Cat.

All of you Scott Pilgrim fans, here’s a whole new edition to purchase and display with pride—a reprint of the one that started it all, SCOTT PILGRIM’S PRECIOUS LITTLE LIFE, in full color by Nathan Fairbairn, in a deluxe 6?9 hardcover. AND a new cover! The news was announced at tonight’s spotlight on creator Bryan Lee O’Malley at ECCC.

Preview and details at the link. I'd only be interested in this because it's hardcover, but... I dunno...

Darick Robertson Writes And Draws “Before The Boys” | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Darrick Robertson: I’m working and developing some back stories for some of the Boys characters for after the series ends that I’ll write and draw. I’m working on an A-train miniseries. It’s a story about how he got into the Seven, It’s called A-Train: Here Comes The A-Train, the guy who killed Hughie’s girlfriend, and the whole series will lead up to that moment.

JW: You’re writing it?

DR: Yeah I’m gonna write and draw some stuff. It’s a prequel, so it’ll be honoring what Garth’s done without any conflict.
