If this movie is half as good as the comic book was, it'll be the best animated comic movie ever.

Oh, and as far as I know there is no current Suicide Squad book.

Ok, maybe I read that this book was Suicide Squad-esque or something. Loves me some John Ostrander so that's a plus. If Gail Simone is good enough for him to write with than color me on board! So, Deathstroke??? What's the deal there. At one point(last I remember) he was a good guy(in the way that Punisher is for Marvel). Now he seems to be a straight up baddie...

that's better...anyways, what happened? Didn't he die at some point too? And what happened to his faithful manservant...I used to like Deathstroke quite a bit.

NEVERMIND...read the exhaustive Wikipedia entry...sheesh.

I liked The Boys #50...but it didn't hit me like I thought it should have. Maybe it's the absence of Wee Hughie, maybe it's the fact that I am reading single issues instead of waiting for the trades...but I cannot feel as if it has been a little...lacking.

was disappointing. Thought it was some sort of team up book, NOPE. It's a blatant attempt by DC to sell 6 pages of a LOBO story with 6 or so of GARBAGEMAN(so blatant a Swamp Thing rip off I cannot even complain), and TANGA(long lost sister of TONGA???/STARFIRE ripoff). Art is good, whoever does garbageman is a more mainstream Kelly Jones(oofa Deadman), but I don't want to be force fed 2 minor characters when I think I am buying a LOBO book.

I thought the whole standoff with them and the Seven was pretty sweet.

Agree. Wish I hadn't bought it.

JH Williams III on Batwoman Delay

“The book was also never to launch in November either. The zero issue which came out at that time was never in the original plans, but was done as a bit of a reminder as requested by DC, and to set the stage, this of course took out time of the work already in progress. February had been decided on the launch date by the company with reservations about that from me. I felt that was a bit too soon in a realistic look at work progression. One of the reasons for this was that I had been seriously committed to making appearances around the world over this past year. I think maybe 3 months or more of work loss occurred during that time. I kept trying to point this out whenever discussions about schedule came up. When first discussing the launch date earlier last year we had originally wanted April 2011, and now ironically that is what we have. Only after solicits stating otherwise, causing some unnecessary frustrations. Added to this mix I was being asked to do covers for Batman Inc., which I was concerned about considering the schedule for Batwoman, this quickly added to the problem of not being able to launch in February. So I thought it best to bow out of the Batman Inc. project.”

I forgive you, JHW3. I still wish I had the book now, though.

There's a comic book fan in one of my classes and we talked about Batwoman and apparently he had never heard of Promethea! :O

Let's just say that I gave him a well spoken recommendation. ;)

But yeah, as awesome as William's work was Prometheus was, his current work on the Bat titles is even better.

Holy crap David E. Kelley? I loved his old shows (Picket Fences, Chicago Hope..). Wow, I wonder what it's going to be like.

On a side note, I started reading The Boys yesterday and it's great. I finished the first trade in like, a hour. Unlike Planetary, where it took me weeks just to get through 3 issues in a trade.

Love the fact that there's a character that looks and acts like Simon Pegg.

That's weird Adgy...the title seems to be wrong.

Sister magazine Toyfare, covering the toy market, has not been affected, nor have the Wizard comic conventions.

Yep, Wizard is SO nineties.

But I still read it for free when I am killing time at Barnes and Noble. ;)
