The Comic Books and Comic Book movies thread

Lol! That does look like a WW porn, a woman that you can spend a night with an indulge, um, one's WW fantasy, but, um, as an actual series?

It looks like one of those goddamn porno parodies. Or a halloween costume.

No, you are both right...It looks like a porno parody OF a Halloween costume. Wow, she needs a boob wrangler, what is that??? A 5 inch wide cleavage? And yeah, the seam...you can tell what religion she is. Did they spend any time LOOKING at this? This can't be the effort of a lot of work. This would look geigh in the 80's remake of Flash Gordon.

It actually makes this

look less dated/cartoonish by comparison.

That Linda Carter series was silly, but Carter was hot, and the series was good silly fun.

I think this new series is just going to be bad.

Anyways, for your viewing pleasure...

Originating the Wonder Bra? mhihi:

I love Wonder Woman, but so many people just don't seem to be able to get her right. A lot of writers just write her as some sexual fetish and don't explore her character and the whole mythology that she represents.

David Slade Comments on ‘Daredevil’ and ‘The Wolverine’ Controversy

First up, Slade commented on Daredevil. Here are his tweets, strung together:

Forgot to look at the internet for a few weeks and its a litany of false (and not so far off) rumours. So without breaking confidentiality, yes Daredevil, we have a great outline for a very strong character driven take on Mr Matt Murdock. It will bare [sic] no relation to the previous Daredevil movie in any way. We are at early planning stages and have not yet discussed any cast.

And here’s Slade’s brief comment on The Wolverine:

WOLVERINE, there have been no discussions about this project to date. Interesting to see what will happen with that as the again excellent script by Chris McQuarrie was set largely in Japan. So that’s all the news that’s fit to print.

Newsarama.com : C2E2 2011: Greg Rucka Returns to Marvel with 'Back to Basics' PUNISHER

Punisherfull2_02.jpg

Rucka: Yeah. I think it’s more a throwback to Gotham Central-era writing for me. It’s very street-level, and it’s very human. The emotions involved are very restrained in a lot of aspects, and very real in a lot of aspects, and I always find it more comfortable for my own purposes to write “on the ground,” for lack of a better phrase.

Rucka: Yes, and he’s not who he is. I was talking to Axel [Alonso], who said, the joy of the Punisher is putting him up against someone who’s so horrifically vile that you can’t wait for [The Punisher] to kill him. That is, I think, the heart of a good Punisher story in many ways. The adversary needs to be somebody that, for the reader, viscerally, you want them to pay. You want them to be punished.

Part of the reason I think we read Punisher is because we want him to kick the ass that we’re not going to kick. In that way, he’s a very different character. I hate the phrase, but people who malign our passion and art form are very prone to flipping out,“adolescent power fantasy.” But in his own way, Frank is the perfect power fantasy. He really may be the only one who really is, and that’s not adolescent, that’s a universal power fantasy. If you’ve ever been stuck in traffic, you’ve wanted to whip out a machine gun on more than one occasion. [Laughs.] But you don’t.

So are they going to have to digitally take out her perpetual camel toe during the series or what?

Those are horrible, unnatural looking breasts. Lynda's were soft looking and perky. That new WW just looks hard and silicone.
