Anyway, the movie didn?t happen, perhaps because the most confused people were at Warner Bros. Neil Gaiman did spend time at one point trying to explain the series to the suits, and commissioned a big suite of images to help get the idea across. Those images are now online. They?re more a slideshow encapsulation of the grand scope of Sandman than true concept art, and those who know the series well will recognize moments from many of the major story arcs from the series? 75-issue run.
As you may recall, The Boys is winding down soon. You might be wondering what Garth Ennis is going to be filling his dance card with, post-boys? It seems Ennis is revisiting war comics, with one final outing for his “Battlefields” franchise.
It has to end eventually, no?
Funny, I was thinking about Ennis war stuff he did for Vertigo the other day. I should pull out some of this stuff and re-read. Lol, what's the point of having boxes and boxes of comics if I don't re-read some of them every now and then. I also wanna re-read my Hulk comics!
TPBs are a whole lot easier when it comes to re-reading, aren't they?![]()

A Farewell to The Boys – The Series Wraps Up In November*|*The Beat
Reading the last issue of this series is going to be tough.
Gonna straight out suck. Plus side, once the last TPB comes out I can relive the series whenever. I am behind an issue but I am not fond of the logical conclusion of this series. I get it...not fond of it. But then that's what Ennis does best 'innit?
“Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt,” the studio said in a statement to Superhero Hype. “There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.”
You peeps were just spoiled by the Preacher ending.![]()
