Puck! Yeah!
According to Variety, Dinklage will play the “main antagonist”. I’m not sure if that means he’ll be the only bad guy, but all of the other X-Men films have had a lead bad guy and then powerful underlings (even if they weren’t acting under their own volition like in X2). At the very least, we know that the Sentinels (giant robots who exterminate mutants) will be a “big feature” of the story.
So who will Dinklage play? Devin Faraci over at Badass Digest made the interesting argument that the villain could be the bizarre Mr. Sinister. Even though Sinister doesn’t factor into the Days of Future Past comic book, Singer isn’t being precious with the material. I think if we did see Mr. Sinister, it would be so far removed from what we’ve seen in the comics that it would render the character nearly unrecognizable. He’s simply too outlandish to bring to the screen even if you did motion-capture. Perhaps, as Devin argues, Sinister could be a neat stepping stone to Apocalypse, but I have a different theory.
I think Dinklage will play Bolivar Trask, the creator of the Sentinels. I believe the Sentinels will be the major foe because we can only see mutants fighting mutants so many times. Furthermore, the sentinels lack personalities, so it’s up to a great actor like Dinklage to provide the emotional aspect of the threat. It would also be a nice touch that if Trask was Dinklage’s size (he’s not in the comics), then he would devote his life to creating gigantic machines as a way to realize the physical strength and power he lacks.
DC's Orson Scott Card/Superman Controversy | CraveOnline
I did not know that about Card. While I find his philosophy outdated and laughable I have to come down against the protesters on this one. As long as he doesn't use the forum for his politics, the man should be allowed to work. To outright ban him from anything is as hateful and ridiculous as his anti-gay marraige stance.

With Chris Pratt now set in the lead role of Star-Lord, it looks like casting is moving right along on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Writer/director James Gunn has now posted up in London to continue pre-production on the film with shooting set to begin in a couple of months, and now a new report has surfaced claiming that Gunn and Marvel have settled on the actor that will play Drax the Destroyer. The character is one of brawn, and he actually began life as a human before his family was attacked and killed by the ubervillain Thanos, after which his spirit was placed in a new, much more powerful body. Rumor has it that none other than Khal Drogo himself, Jason Momoa, will bring Drax to life. Hit the jump to read on. [Update: THR now reports that Momoa tested for the role, but has no offer. More after the jump.]
[Update: Borys Kit of THR Tweets that his sources tell him Momoa only tested for the role and has not received an offer for the part:
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Character Guide | Collider
Good info, even though they aren't relevent to the movie, I wish they had given some time to the original team that I grew up with.
I'm really hoping to see Adam Warlock show up, but since he isn't in the comic at all, apparently, it seems unlikely.
Dunno man, it's not really Thanos without Adam Warlock is it. Yin to his yang and all that.
See, this is why Darkseid is better than Thanos. He doesn't need a dude like Adam Warlock hanging around to show off his powers. mhihi:![]()
ftfySee, this is why Darkseid is better than Thanos. He doesn't need a NECK?
