The Comic Books and Comic Book movies thread

I loved the first Captain America, but I am concerned that they are maybe adding to many people into this next film and biting off more than they can chew. What are your thoughts. I know there is the whole Winter Soldier story line, where he is bad(due to Russia and the whole Cold War aspect-which I don't know how they will pull off in the modern era) then turns good again. Now we hear of GSP as Batroc and so on. I really want this movie to be awesome like the first one was.

Right now, I feel pretty optimistic about it.

For the record, the Winter Soldier is about Bucky (who was "killed" in the first film) being turned bad and then good, not Cap. :)

Adgy, I am sorry if I was not clear. I know that the whole Bucky being frozen and stuff. Sorry for not clarifying. I am on spring break and getting ready for Wonder-Con, though my funds will be much shorter (due to purchasing carbon fiber race wheels for my bike)

It's a little crowded...yeah. Falcon being in it and now Batroc the Leaper...tough characters to pull off. And Toby Jones is returning so I wonder if he is gonna get Arnim Zola'd out. I thought the first one was terrific too, real good adventure flick. Not too worried though, I think Marvel knows they can't all be dire/heavy so maybe they are trying to give Cap more of the 'SUPERhero' kind of identity. While the Thor flick is going for a heavy fantasy vibe, and Iron Man has the semi-serious/personality driven angle. I hate to give any credit to Marvel but yeah...I wouldn't worry. They know their multi-billion dollar empire can be derailed by a misstep. They have got the market cornered when it comes to cape flicks. Sure do wish they would greenlight the Deadpool flick to really give things a jolt in the backside.

Now that would be fun ...!

I read in an article that Fox does not want to free light a rated R Deadpool movie. Everyone is into it, but the studio

Skip that last one. International trailer far better quality, cut better(actually makes more sense), and has some pretty good stuff left out of the domestic trailer entirely, including Silver Samurai.

First trailer for this looked a little awkward...and cheap. This is a much better showing despite the lack of M'Fr. Still not sure how this is going to turn out.
