I want this so bad. Look, outside of the Joker...there is no Villain more worthy or capable of being the focus of his own movie. Especially if, unlike any of the previous versions, you are going to use the actual source material as the inspiration. Doc Doom is one of the single most complex comic book characters of all time. Hawley is a visionary...so this NEEDS to happen.

At that point, Fox decided that instead of doing the three days of additional filming required to complete the YA movie that everyone had initially agreed to go make, the studio would change course and make a new version of the movie that was straight-up horror, which was what Boone and Lee originally wanted to do in the first place. It’s a little like a diner sending back a meal at a restaurant — not because there was something wrong with it, but because they simply changed their minds and wanted to order a different entr?e, or movie, in this case.

I don't know, it's missing the "Parker screwed Brock" and "Parker rejected Symbiote" aspects that really shaped the Venom character. I realize that could be a whole series of movies there but... ok make those movies dammit!

This movie looks good, but taking it out of the Spidey context seems wrong.
