They really loaded up on asshats this season haha. I am still extremely disappointed in Arvy, I thought he was better than all this.

The NHL should implement a rule in which they can call HCs to a disciplinary review for allowing (possibly encouraging) on ice actions such as what took place in game 3. As exciting of a game as it made for, it's a really bad look for the NHL.

Same re Arvy. Really disappointing.
I think at some point soon they do have to direct responsibility to the Coaches.
I don’t want this great game to be diminished over the likes of Kane or Perry etal.

A very bad look. I imagine Bettman was pissed. He's been a critic of fighting in the game and that third period was some stupid WWE stuff.

Bettman can be against fighting in the NHL but it needs to stay.
Bettman should be pissed tho. And his first call after the game should have been to the oilers org.
Funny with the WWE reference, in a bizarre way. It’s exactly what I thought it looked like. It was just not a good look for the hockey spotlight.

One thought I had was that no one watching the game would have noticed Kane without his three penalties and constant crying.
 
Not quite sure why everyone is so mad, it's their nations motto (Elbow's up) and Florida is making them pay.

If I understood correctly it’s because Bettman and the TV companies doesn’t want the NHL and the NBA finals on the same day.

Sucks either way since it kills a lot of the momentum and buzz!

Seriously tho, it’s the correct marketing strategy to not compete with the NBA. It is the right thing to do (even though I’ve come to despise the NBA). Let each sport have their own spotlight nights.
 
This guy made it sound like Dallas would be open to trading Jason Robertson for Drew Doughty because of a need for an experienced right-shot defenseman and to clear upcoming cap space. Is this actually realistic and would you guys pull the trigger, if so? The YouTuber seems to be a Stars fan and also liked Jordan Spence and Brandt Clarke. So maybe a package can be built around Spence as an alternative offer for Robertson. I'm spitballing.



Frank Seravalli thinks it's a coin-flip that Jason Robertson gets traded this offseason while laying out the conditions for a deal to take place.

One of the unspoken advantages of being a Kings fan is our young players rarely get the shine or media hype that young players in traditional hockey markets get. When is that an advantage? RFA contract time.

I’m watching the saga of Matthew Knies play out and his potential offer sheet and just astonished. Knies is a very good young player but he’s a 29 goal scorer and people are wondering if he’ll get a 11M x 7 years offer sheet. lol.

...that's a pretty big hole in our lineup, for the return. And, since it's all about the loot with the Kings; Drew's jersey would always out sell Jason's (even if he became an effing beast) from now until eternity. So, I love thinking about it but in reality it seems *cough* HIGH risk.
