Heretic Evil Twin (red ale, quite hoppy with a strong malt backbone. Very good)
Avery Maharaja (excellent as always)
Stone Sublimely Self Righteous (quite good)
Stone Imperial Russian Stout '11 (a tad smokier and more bitter than I remember)

I did some revisiting of favorites this weekend.

Unibroue - Maudite
St. Bernardus - Quad

Delicious!

I need a suggeston for a semi-readily available black lager.

Xingu and Kostritzer are the ones I see on a regular basis in non-beer oriented stores. Both should be pretty easy to get and both are good beers.

Speakeasy Prohibition Ale:
Really good smooth ale, smooth aftertaste with lots of carmel flavor. Was surprised how much I liked it. Going to try another 6pack to see if I just was in the mood for it last time or if it really was that good.

I just tried Kostritzer and its good, im not a fan of strong roasty flavors this one is mild compared to others.

Also bought some good ol' Mississippi Mud hah.

Sipping on a Lagunitas Lucky 13.alt. Pretty good stuff. Unlike the regular Lucky 13 (which I gotta buy again if I come across some), this one is a clear pale honey, copper color with an aroma and flavor of sweet malts and medium biting floral hops. If you can find it around (the pinup girl's hair is green, makes it easier to recognize) I suggest giving it a shot.

Black Butte XXIII Porter

deep roasty malty very ****in' black. a bit creamy but packs a wallop in alcohol content.

! think that the Deschutes' 23rd anniversary release should age a year before it gets opened.

highly recommended.

38 Degrees in Alhambra is having a Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA party tomorrow at 1pm. its ALC is so high it will be served in 5 oz. glasses.

I can do a 750 ml of Black Tuesday and be easily ready for more.....5 oz of 120? Bring it on!

GD chocolate oak aged yeti. Loving this. Pretty damn complex. The first sip alone had about 3-4 waves/transitions. The label said they used some cayenne in this and I'm definitely starting to feel a warming sensation down my throat that is lasting longer than just the alcohol heat would.

the 120 Minute IPA was a nice beer. malty and sweet with subtle hints of 18 holy **** % alcohol. it's a nice kick.
