I have to agree. Picked up some this past weekend, and really liked it. It could be real dangerous though, very tasty, and the alcohol content is well hidden. I'm glad I picked up several bottles, but still may need to get some more, since this would be better than pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving desert.

Anyone like Andes mints? If so, you'll like this. My wife and I enjoyed it so much we had to buy an extra 8 bottles for the holidays.

I had it on tap a while back, and thought it was an ok stout, but not a great one. I bake mocha mint cookies that go very well with stouts, so that may influenced by feelings some.

I did a little exploring in my backyard this past weekend, because I wanted to have a really nice burger while watching games. In the process, I also found some really nice beers. I went up to the Corner Butcher in La Verne, and bought some freshly ground beef, and found they had just stocked their beer case with Hanger 24 Gourdeous. Based on Beerman's comments above, I picked up several bottles and was not disappointed at all. The place has a limited beer selection, but has some nice craft beers to go along with the gourmet meats they sell. After my stop there, I moved on to the Cheese Cave in Claremont. I have been meaning to go there for quite some time, and all I can say, is I have really been missing out. I bought an incredible blu-cheddar layered cheese for my burger, and then checked out their beer selection. Again, not a large selection, but they rotate it weekly, and I walked out with a couple of brews from Epic Brewery as well as a bottle of Autumn Maple fro, The Bruery. The Fest Devious from Epic is very good, with a nice mild malt flavor and a nice finish with citrus overtones from the Citra Hops. It is also a very Kings friendly shop, since it is owned by the family of former King Noah Clarke. If you haven't tried the Fest Devious, pick some up, really nice Fall beer.

Epic Brewing has not disappointed me at all. they also have a pumpkin beer but as you would notice now, their labels are not quite helpful in terms of the lack of graphics. however, if you see an orange label, it's most likely the pumpkin one.

I think.

as a matter of fact, they're a bit weird in coloring the labels, you just have to remember which beer is what without having to make out what it says on the label.

all in all, Epic Brewing makes epic beers.

Had Staropramen in Prague a few months ago, and I'll see how it tasts here in the States because Bevmo now carries it. Pretty effin cool!

Ladyface Pumpkin Ichabod III - smells & tastes divine.Like pumpkin pie.
Ace Pumpkin Cider - Sour & tangy. I liked this one very much.
Epic Pumpkin Porter-I wished it smelled & tasted more like pumpkin.

I'm not terribly partial to pumpkin beers. It seems a little wierd to me. Kinda like beers that have blueberries and raspberries in them. I don't mean lambics, I mean beers with fruit in them. It just seems like a bit too much.
I want to see how far a brewer can push his water, malt, hops and yeast instead of reaching for pomegranite or goose berries.

sorry, I guess I'm crazy

Had this on tap last night. I was looking for a Pumkin Ale but they didn't have any but recommended this. It's very nice. Not a sweet as Newcastle but with lots of flavor.

Had Erdinger Pikantus in Germany and it was great, had it at Bevmo and it wasn't the same
