Dog Ate My Homework by Brouwerij West - never big on saisons but this one rocked my palette.
Chocarrubica by Grado Plato - one of the best stouts that I've had. rich in chocolate. and creamy.

Picked up a case of Lagunitas Sucks for $40 last night. We've already been through one case. What a GREAT beer. If you can find it, grab it now and drink up.

Stormy knows what's up. But I need to know, where did you find a case???

I was lucky and got a 6er at Mr. Kegs the other day while filling up my C02.

Local liquor store about 4 miles from my house here in SLO. Saturday they had 5 1/2 cases stacked. When I went in yesterday they had 4 cases. I grabbed one. I may go get another tonight. It's so damn good. And there are 2 different places here that have had it on tap and blasted through it in a matter of 2-3 days. I believe one other place has a keg in the fridge that will be tapped as soon as the Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout blows. I'm keeping an eye on their twitter feed.....

Well, this goes to show how good it is.....the back of my cousin's car up in Oakland a couple of nights ago (he's a sales rep for Lagunitas).

Any of you have a kegerator at home? If so, can you possibly help me?

I recently got a Nostalgia Electrics Kegerator model KRS2100. The kit came with the CO2 tank and a dual regulator. Seen below:

KegoratorDoubleRegulator-30.jpg

I went to Mr. Kegs in HB for questions and a keg. Since I am new to this, I asked the gentleman where my gauges should be once I get everything hooked up. He proceeded to tell me that the gauge on the left will do absolutely nothing with my setup (confused to why there are two then). With the keg I purchased, Dales Pale Ale, he told me the gauge on the right should be between 5 and 10.

When I got home and hooked everything up, I noticed that the gauge on the left did nothing (like he said). I got the gauge on the right set to around 8 and it gave me a nice pour.

Question:

My understanding is that the gauge on the left is to tell you the remaining pressure left in your CO2 tank. If so, why wouldn't that work? I see it ranges from 0-3000PSI. I would imagine, even though my CO2 tank is very small, it would at least show something since the range goes down to zero.

Can anyone help me understand this?

**In addition, after a week and 5 beer poured from my new kegerator...my CO2 tank was empty. I took the tank and regulator into Mr. Kegs and the guy found a leak in the gauge on the right. I called the company and they are sending me a new one. Would this have anything to do with it?**

So did anyone try the Taphaus at Staples? I noticed they had a couple of brews from Goose Island as well as some other decent brews. Beer and brats, sounds like a good combination to me.

Yeah. However, while Racer X is quite delicious, Class X is other-worldly. I *might* have some free time coming up and I'm debating whether to make the 3 hour drive up to KRBC to pick up some beer since their distro has been almost nil for a long while.
