Had the Lagunitas Undercover Shut Down ale yesterday at Haven in Orange. It was really tasty and packed a wallop at 9.6%. Good times!

The rumor is 32 oz bottles of Sucks will be hitting shelves later this year. If this truly becomes a year-round release, I don't know what I'll do (other than drink it a lot). It definitely ranks up there with the best DIPA's I've had.

I hope it's true b/c that will save a ton of fridge space. Buying multiple 6 packs at a time just takes up too much space! I'll ask my cuz up there if he can confirm. I'll post the answer next week.

Lagunitas Sucks

Went to the Lagunitas Beer Circus Sunday, with a side trip to Russian River Brewing Monday, and did not find out anything about Sucks coming out in 22 oz. bombers. Sorry! However, a good time was had by all. Best beer event we've attended 2 years running. Here is just a small little flavor of what happened.......

Bruery Tart of Darkness. Lip puckering tart which is nice but not enough of the stout thing going on for my taste.

Nobody drinks beer anymore? I cracked open a Stone RuinTen last night. Holy hop bomb. There was some danky, ballsy DIPA going on that threw a wallop on me. Quite good. Right now sipping on a 13.5 month old KRBC Class V. Its age has more to do with not finding more locally than wanting to age it. I wouldn't say the age has benefited the beer much but it's still quite enjoyable. Maybe I'll let the one remaining bottle I have go for another year just to see what happens.

Hi everyone, this is beer related but not worthy of its own thread. I have wanted a kegerator for a long time, but I’m cautious to get one because I fear the beer will go bad by the time I drink all of it. I have a bunch of cool ideas for a garage bar/drinking area, because no woman would allow this kind of **** to occupy an entire room in the house. So, does anyone have suggestions for me? I know a pretty decent amount about kegerators, because I helped a buddy build one a few years ago. Does using nitrogen instead of CO2 make the beer last longer? Or is the suggestion that I don’t own a kegerator and just use a jockey-box when people come over for a party?

Ideas?
Suggestions?
Helpful hints…

Head to Kern River Brewing on Sunday. Anyone know if they have anything special release bottle on sale right now? Anything other than their normal lineup.

I'll be nabbing some Just Outstanding, but I was hoping to score something different while I was there.

I have this bad boy. Works like a champ (once I figured out why the CO2 was leaking). :)

I think I saw a kegerator at Costco a while back for a little over $400. Here's the thing, I love beer but my waistline doesn't. As with all males (at least the ones I know) we want a little haven where we can swill beer and fart with impunity. So here are a few questions for ya...
Does having only 1 beer style get old?
Do you drink more because its so readily available?
Nitrogen - vs - CO2 charge?
What beers worth a crap don't go skunky too fast?
Would you recommend getting a kegerator?
Do you like eating beans?
Do you like George Wendt?
Do you like watching George Wendt eating beans?

I'm emailing Eric as of now. KRBC usually keeps people up to date on their news, but the last thing I heard from them was their anniversary thing which was last month. they've brewed up the 7th Anniversary Coffee Stout which I am pretty damn eager to try.

there will be a bunch of bottles of a variety of beers on stock. if you're lucky, you may find some Dirty Hippies.

and I'm jealous, just to let you know.
