One of my favorite regular pumpkin beers. A lot of brews either tend to be too heavy on the spices but I find Kern's to be well balanced.

Interesting Belgian dubble ale with sichuan peppercorns.

If you like sichuan chinese food and Belgian ale this is perfect for you.

Institution Ale House, Camarillo. 1 year old. you must stop by this place. the wench and I had the opportunity to do so on our way to Ojai and left with a growler of the Mosaic Pale Ale. that shiz was phenomenal. among the tasters that we had were the Pumpkin Restraint and the Habanero Mosaic. also phenomenal, the PR was less pumpkin/more spice but not overpowering like some others; the HM kicks your mouth with a robust heat that remained level throughout. sadly not available for growler fills. a plan to stop by on our way home for another growler fill is in the works.

Ive heard good things about institution but never had a chance to get over there.

My friend brought me back "The Apprentice" from Societe brewing in SD, it was really really good. a very well balanced DIPA

the Institution needs more bottles filled. the only one available was for the Imperial Restraint. I wasn't quite fond of it.

Hi everyone. I don't have beer to recommend per se, but I do have a brewer to recommend. He's an old pal of mine that that I aided in the brewing of the Blueline Brew and the Screw You Brew. I helped him make these beers almost a decade ago... damn how time flies. Anyway, he's a great brewer and has opened up a place with a few people out in Riverside. If you're in the area, and want to try some really good beers, give Polymath Brewing a shot.

Mods, if this is seen as spaming, please feel free to delete. It is not my intention.

But if anyone wants to try some really good beer, given 'em a try

The Apprentice is fantastic. So are The Pupil and The Bachelor. I highly recommend you guys check out Societe when in San Diego, if you haven't already.

Also, Council Brewing which is fairly new. They have a really good IPA called Gavel Drop, and they make a series of tart saisons which are delicious as well.

Waterloo Dark... mmmmm... anyone know of any place that actually imports real Canadian beer? Not the mass produced crap (Molson, Labatts, etc). The real good stuff. Brands like Waterloo, Keiths, Upper Canada, etc.

Other than the usual craft suspects, I don't remember seeing other Canadian craft brews.

BTW, not sure how many of you guys are in the west SFV. I moved from the east side to the west side back in June and found a nice beer bar a few miles away from my pad. The place is called Crazy Harry's and it's near the intersection of Winnetka and Saticoy. The GM is not only a hockey fan but a Kings fan to boot. If any of you guys are in the area let me know. They rotate their taps pretty regularly.

Epic Brewing Brainless Belgian-style Golden Ale

A wonderful triple that has a good taste not overly strong.

I recommend for those who like belgians and strong ales.
