beer with high ACV is not meant to be served in pint glasses. why do you think they served those in smaller portions in a tulip or a globular glass? besides, these beers are best used in a beer tasting event with a group of friends. a bomber can fill 5 cups easily (around 4 oz each).

It's important to have food, snacks and water if you're going to be cracking those high ABV bottles.

Another kick-ass IPA from Breakside. Delicious stuff.

The only problem with our IPAs is keeping them in stock. To fulfill the desire for Breakside outside of Oregon, we crafted an IPA simply for export. Wanderlust is modeled after the India Golden Ale, a double IPA our very own Jacob Leonard brewed in collaboration with Ninkasi in 2013. It’s bright golden in color and has intense juicy notes of tropical and grapefruit. We use five pungent hops in this beer and keep the malt profile as light as possible so that the interplay of hop flavors can really shine. Whether you find Wanderlust in Portland or elsewhere, we’re stoked to share with you this new take on the Northwest IPA.

A golden IPA loaded with hop flavor.

I
i admit i have the same problem. It's stupid, really. All these great beers sitting there collecting dust. Money spent for great experiences that i have trouble letting myself have because once i have it...it's gone. But if i never have, what was the point in the first place?

A well respected member on another forum would always give his opinion when the topic would come up. Smoke your best everyday (it's a cigar forum) because you never know what tomorrow will bring. Life is precious and you never know when your day will come. If it comes before you have a chance to smoke that cigar you've been saving (or wine, or beer, etc), what was the use in getting it in the first place
Need an occasion to open that wine or beer? It's wednesday. The sun rose. Your loved ones are around. Maybe the kings won a game. Maybe your child aced a test. Maybe your car started without trouble. Maybe traffic was better than it normally is. Maybe you found a penny on the ground. Maybe you completed doing the laundry. Any one of those is a fine reason. You never know if you'll get a better chance.

Listen to this man. Today IS a special occasion.

yeah, so I won the initial lottery. my wench got a second chance and won it as well. so, there will be 12 bottles of Citra in this household. if you're nice, maybe we'll spare one. ;)

Would love to get one of those to take up to my son when I visit him for the Stadium game. What would it take. I still have a few beers in stock, or would be happy to bring you a growler of beer from Claremont Craft Ales. I could even throw in a couple dozen cookies.

Sounds good to me, I will be around that weekend.

Belching Beaver Horchata imperial stout. Good stuff. The cinnamon is there but tame, which I think works well. The body is thick and chewy but still smooth.

The Bruery Shegoat weizenbock. Other than Ladyface's version, which I enjoy more because I just plain dig their stuff, I have yet to have an American weizenbock that approaches either Vitus or Aventinus. This one isn't changing that.

I finished that bottle last week. found myself disappointed. not much horchata in this. Pacific Plate (Monrovia) churns one out better than this.

Got a case of these three today, plus the Bridgeport IPA - http://bridgeporttrilogy.com/

All very nice beers. Went great with the BBQ chicken I was grilling in a lightning storm.

We have come full circle. Bridgeport Pintail Ale started this thread this thread many years ago. I once made the trip back from Oregon with 2 cases of Bridgeport, at a time when you couldn't get it down here.
