Pizza port is coming out with a new DIPA called the Kook. I tried it last week, it was pretty good. They said to expect it in stores mid may.

Not sure if this has been posted in the thread yet but it is my new favorite. Very simple beer and worth a try. Nothing serious and they go down easy. I have only found them at higher end stores - Central Market and Whole Foods - to this point but trust me - you want to try one.

And one last thing? They are 8% ...

Was in Newport yesterday, i had 2 beers....Black Phoenix by Bootleggers Brewery, dark spicy coffee stout. I am not a big coffee fan but this beer was pretty good with the chipotle spices, having a good kick to it. and at Mutt Lynch's, i had a Stone Go To IPA....pretty good.

Love chai...wasn't a fan of this beer. It got worse as it warmed up. Sucks. I was really looking forward to it.

I shared a 2013 Firestone Parabola with my brother a while back and it was fantastic. Very complex flavors of carmel, dark chocolate with touches of coffee/espresso. At 13% alcohol it really packs a punch. It threw me over the edge for the rest of the day. I have another 2013 that I'll save for another day, but I'm looking forward to cracking open one of my 2014s and see if they are similar.

Parabola is one of the few beers I make a point to buy bottles of when it comes around. Hope we get another wave of cases in LA in the next month.

That's one of my favorites. I always try to pick up a bottle when I see one on the shelf. Great scotch ale.

Wife and I polished off a fresh growler of Row 2 we brought back from the brewery. I could bathe in this stuff. IMO...it's a perfect pale.
