I've been seeing lots more KRBC bottles around lately which is excellent. Haven't seen any Class V, pumpkin, or winter ale yet. Haven't bought ant since I'm already knee deep in older bottles of beer in my stash.

well, as you already know, they've finished the expansion and are churning out enough beers to satisfy us outta towners.

odd that the Class Vs had been as common as the JOs. maybe they'll pair up with the Winter Ales later this year.

we should be seeing the pumpkin beers soon. (I hope!)

Great to see KRBC beers in the market readily!

Bummer to hear original brewer Kyle Smith recently left. :17smile:

I tried the Founders KBS that I'd been sitting on for a few months, and it was worth the wait. Now I know why everyone goes nuts for it when it comes out. I loved it, but it was a bit too strong for my wife. ehh... more for me then.

yeah, just looked him up and found the article at The Full Pint. at least we'll stop by Lengthwise on the way to Kernville, or the other way around. he grew up in Bakersfield and still lives there, I guess. kinda a tough commute through the mountains, eh?

I'll be heading up to Bakersfield soon to visit my son, so will check it out. We usually go to the Craft Taphouse there which allows you to pour your own beer from 50 taps. They had Lengthwise on tap the last time we visited.

I haven't opened this yet, but my cousins in Minnesota helped me get a stout I have been wanting to try for a few years.

so, how was it?

Was expecting a rush (lots of people). Wasn't bad at all. Arrived when they opened (11am on Saturday). We were the only people there. Started in the "backyard." This is where you'll pick up your case. Had a glass of Citra out there, but then soon realized they don't have the same menu as the OG site. Finished my beer and headed to the "front yard," I guess you would call it.

Something about those deep fried pickles they have. WOOT! Why don't they serve the same menu at both places???????? Got an order of fish tacos and a couple more beers. Picked up 6 bottles of JO. Was on the road (our DD drove).

Anyway, stayed about 2 hours. By the time we left, the place was good and packed at both locations. Good times.

Hope you have fun!

that's why we want to get there early! the place is always packed by the time we left.
I've never had the fried pickles. we'll give that a try. we always go for the southwestern egg rolls, I could eat those all day long.
