During this years Superbowl, I had (plus other drinks):

Oaked Arrogant Bastard
Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball
Lagunitas Brown Shugga
Stone 10th Anniversary

It was a tasty afternoon.
 
My current favorite - Boddington's

Not sure if it's been posted here or not. I did a search and didn't see it. Ralph's sells them in the 4 pack cans and they have a widget, like Guinness. Just pop it open and dump it straight down into a Pint - creates the perfect head every time.

The White Harte on Ventura has it on tap, but it tastes better on tap at the Blarney Cove on Roscoe (near Topanga).
 
Tried a new beer, Delirium Tremens, belgian. Pretty tasty and light enough for my tastes. Expensive to me at $23 for a sixer from Bevmo. They have a seasonal christmas brew called Delirium Noel that my friend loves.
 
I picked up some Deschutes Cinder Cone and Deschutes Inversion IPA since I'm a big fan of their beers and haven't seen either of these. the IPA was very good with a real sharp edge like a lot of the other Deschutes beers. The Cinder Cone Red Ale was very smooth and had an EXCELLENT taste. I will have to pick up some more of this because it's a seasonal.

I always pick up some Cinder Cone Red when it's available. Good stuff.

I had a Stone 10th as well. Very nice.

We also tried Firestone Walker. If you like a slight hint of whiskey, it is a good one. I, for one, am not a big fan of whiskey.

I Love Abita Amber - it's my all time fav. too bad you cant get it any where else but in louisiana :(

I love Abita Amber - it's my all time fav - too bad can't get it anywhere other than Louisiana :(

The other Abita the export from the state; Turbo Dog, Purple Haze, etc.. but nothing compares to the Amber......

this aint too bad. it opens with a hint of coffee, that is if you're looking for that aroma. otherwise, it's a little malty at that.

taste is good, some maltiness in it with a bite of coffee of the premium kind. that would be Hawaii's very own Kona Coffee, if you ever tasted that by itself, you would know what I mean.

this is good stuff. not light at all.

Thanks for the info. Used to live near a Bevmo in Cali - But none here in Tenn. - But, they do offer it on the web site!!! You have made me a happy man... lol - Thank You - I've had some 'Arrogant Ba$tard' (the beer that is) all I have to say is... Oh Damn!

this is what I tried last night.

FYI, this is not my photo which is similar to the ones I had in the past. I drank it out of the bottle.

this is very malty at the opening with a twinge of caramel.

upon downing it, the taste resembles a very dark beer. very malty with heavy caramel presence that makes it a bit sweet. it also gives a biting character that mellows into a sweetened deal.

I'll have to try it from the mug in the near future. it may turn out differently due to more carbonization released, making it less bitter.

*btw, I read somewhere that McEwan's is dropping this beer from the North American distribution list, so if you can, hit your favorite store and try to grab a pack or three.

Just polished off my first 2007 bigfoot. Same old, same old... which is pretty damn ****ing good. I can't wait to let it age for about 6 months- perfect when you're grilling in the summer time and bust out some aged barley-wine style ale. Still my favorite barley-Wine style ale right behind Stone Old Guardian and Alesmith Old Numbskull.

p.s. I've been a bad beer reviewer, I've probably had about 50 new beers since the last time I posted in here and I never think to lay down a decent review. My bad.
