I'll go try it out today. Didn't know if you went to the Laguna Hills or Aliso Viejo Traders. There is a produce store in the same parking lot as the TJ's in Aliso Viejo. Doesn't really impress me though. Used to love Growers Direct when I lived in Costa Mesa.
 
Best hamburgers

The Trader Joe's in Costa Mesa used to carry these really good Angus beef burger patties but I can't find them anymore at that or other local stores (Irvine and Huntington Beach). Anybody know what I'm talking about or have a TJ's that carries this item?

I am moving to Colorado in the next couple months and will sorely miss TJs. I also regularly buy these favorites:


  • Just Sauce - Turkey Bolognese
    Frozen Bean & Cheese Burritos
    Pulled Chicken BBQ
    Just Chicken Teriyaki
    Just Chicken Caesar
    Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice
    Frozen Chicken Fried Rice
    Chicken Potstickers
 
So just had two very good friends (and their families of course) get transferred to South Carolina. So we got together for a few beers and pub food before they left. Got Guiness (in a bottle - not an easy find up here in Seattle) some incredible salami, soft cheese (the cheddar and bacon) and crackers. Needless to say it was an awesome sendoff and they loved it.

while its not the absolute best asada in the world (home made/taco truck) it does work in a pinch and has a bit of a kick to it.

It is a lot better imo if it's removed from the package and I add a little beer(dark) montreal steak seasoning, and a tiny bit of El Pato and then marinated another day or two.

ill have to try that next time, my neighbor gave me his familys secret asada recipe which is hands down the best ive ever had, so i dunno how often i will stray of that. this one is definitely good for a quick dinner the day of though.
 
If youre not in the general vicinity of any mexican meat market this will do but I agree with Obejuan- making your own adjustments boost palatability 10 fold.
 
Anybody tried the dark chocolate wedges?

My dad says they've been selling a ton of these.

He's made it and added chicken, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives and more feta cheese. Easy enough to doctor up to your liking.
